sparky151
The team does need Braham for 2006. With Carson still recovering this isn't the time to take chances. I think Bengals carry 10 O-linemen this year unless Steinbach is extended before cutdown date. Players on the 53 would be Jones, Steinbach, Braham, Williams, Anderson, Whitworth, Kooistra, Ghiaciuc, Wilkerson, and Andrews. Kieft gets stashed on IR or practice squad. The team expects to lose Braham to retirement and at least one of Anderson or Steinbach in free agency, thus the extra lineman on the roster. BengalChamps
You gotta be real careful with who, if anyone, we cut. The Clowns would love to have one of our centers to replace LeCharles.

Spain
AHHH the football talk has returned, IMHO, dont fix what aint broken. Keep Richie for 2 more years let the noobs battle it out!
Kazkal
This is the kind of cut that always surprises people. Good call by Dad to see the possibility. I think though that Big Willie would start a mutiny if they cut Richie. Really i think it depends on Richie. Did he come back in shape? Did he lose a step?I agree with the others. Let the competition begin!!and dont let Mikey Boy decide the winner. whats it matter if he lost a step hes a Olinemen not a DB or WR ;p
ArmyBengal
How quickly people forget how big of an impact Braham has made to this o-line and the fact he makes the calls for the o-line. That's not something some rookie or second year guy just makes happen like it's a simple routine !!! Ritchie is going nowhere !!!WHODEY !!! Kazkal
Who cares if Richie is gone? He's an old man, and he's about ready to retire. This is probably his last season anyway.Take a look at the centers in Super Bowl 40. A couple of old men about ready to retire were right there in the thick of it all year long. Long live the Buckethead. Amen. Richie may be the most underappreciated guy on the team. Tough, talented, and plays for peanuts. There's no doubt his time is drawing to a close but right now he remains the best center we have. Given that Guy's outing vs. Jacksonville -- admittedly a thrown-into--the-fire experience -- was mixed and Wilkerson remains an unknown, I don't think there's any way Richie doesn't make the roster (other than season-ending injury). My question is, with Whitworth on board, who ends up on the outs among Keift, Kooistra, and Andrews? Gotta think Keift has an uphill battle to prove his knee is 100%, and I think this is the make-or-break year for Project Dancing Bear.Unless they pup him again sense hes still recovering and could activate him week 6 if we lose someone
bengalfreek
You're joking, right?Wilkerson over Braham? Funny stuff. Besides, Eric Ghiaciuc is the center of the future. Not Wilkerson.Yeah, and Sean Brewer and Steve Foley will never be cut.

ArmyBengal
I'll leave it at Braham may very well be at the end of his career and if one of the youngsters can outplay him, THEN I WELCOME IT, as it would be much deserved and I would be more than comfortable with the o-line situation. Braham is still the man !!!WHODEY !!!
