Who Dey Time
I bitched about Time Warner a few weeks back and I finally did something about it. I bought DirecTV w/ Sunday Ticket. For those that have it, how do you like it. Is it true about it losing signal or being blocked by trees, etc?Thanks!WHO-DEY!
Larry
storms do block it, and tree's do as well, but it is not bad.
BigBenBlows
As I have said many times over Sunday Ticket is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Some times a storm will knock out your reception but for the most part you will have no problems. Hope you enjoy!!

redsbengalsbucks
As long as it is installed right, directv should not give you any trouble other than the occasional heavy downpour of rain that can block the signal or a buildup of snow on the dish in the winter.Sunday ticket is the only way to watch the NFL, I have had it for years and the only complaint I have is how much the price has went up in recent years.Well there is one more complaint that I sometimes have, I never get anything done on Sundays during football season. combatbengal
I've had it for years and love it! Heavy rain does knock it out every now and then. Check to see if you get the NFL ticker for for signing up. I got it free the first year! Also, tibo is the bomb. You can pause live TV and go to the bathroom, get a snack. You can fast forward or rewind. You can tape a show or game and watch another one at the same time, etc!

If you pause the game, you can get REALLY confused if you are a bit behind and chatting with people here at the zone during the game. You'll see things like ...WHAT A FREAKING AWESOME CATCH!! WHO DEY!And what you'll see is Matt Schobel drop a gimmee! (Thank goodness he's gone!)
ArmyBengal
Well, due to the direct of my place, I can't get a direct line of sight to the southern sky. So, since I can't get the games, I'll be heading to the sports bar again... Don't get me wrong, I'm not at all upset at the fact I have to go to a bar to watch the game. The wife has no issues and the people are great. Oh well, maybe someday I'll be cool like you guys...WHODEY !!!

True that -- they get you hooked and then raise the price. Damn capitalism. Every year I say to myself, maybe I shouldn't get it this year .... then it starts to get into July and I admit that I would probably pay double for it. Come on pre-season!! tom_bengals
I was able to watch it for 2 games last year. Unfortunately, they were not the Bengals best games. However, I am very excited to put it to use this year. I have my basement setup with a projector (84" diagonial view) with surround sound. Next year, I might look at going HD.This year we have had our fair shared of thunderstorms in Toledo. I usually would loose signal for about 20-30 mitues during a bad storm. If you happen to loose signal, sometimes it will require you to reset your box even after the storm passes. Hope you enjoy NFL Sunday Ticket. CBin2k7
Sunday Ticket has been a godsend to me. And since I live in San Diego, I don't have to worry about the downpours blocking the feed. I never understood why people with Sunday Ticket were so happy until I went through my rookie season with Sunday Ticket last year. Every Sunday was like Christmas. I renewed my package ASAP, and Direct TV kicked in 24 free pay per view movies for me.

Dan2330
3rd year now with the Sunday ticket, this will be my first with the Superfan HD Package, should look good on my new 60 inch HD Widescreen Sony Wega. I absolutely can not wait, after watching the baseball All Star Game last night in HD, I was like a kid at Christmas!Only a few issues I saw with Sunday Ticket, one of which I wrote to DirectTV about and that was during the Bengals/Colts game last year. I live in Chicago and that game was the National game on CBS, therefore CBS local up here had it on, except for the fact that was the same weekend that Ravens/Steelers went overtime and CBS stayed with the overtime game on national. When I tried flipping over to the Sunday ticket channel dedicated for the Bengals game it was blacked out. Now up until last year this was never a problem, DirecTV would of flipped the Bengals game over to their dedicated channel until the overtime game finished, but I was completely in the dark on the game until the overtime game was over, which was at about the end of the first quarter of the Bengals game, and everyone remembers what shootout the first quarter was. DirecTV gave me some line about regional vs national blah blah which I still don't understand, but hey no biggie. I have not noticed this year, does anyone know if they raised the rates for Sunday Ticket? After all they are showing 8 less games, price should of at least stayed the same! I was able to watch the last two games and have all for 2006/2007 season. I think it ran about $
