2006 Road Games

Who Dey Time

Recommended Posts

I know I started this way back when but, since the season is getting closer, I'll bring it up again.

Anyone going to some road games this year? I'm already signed, sealed, and delivered w/ tickets for the Cleveland game and I'll probably make the Baltimore trip.

Where are you headed??

WHO-DEY!

I'm thinking of going incognito to the Ravens game. 1 hour drive for me, and I don't think I'll have a chance to see a game in Cinci.

I say we get a bulk group of Tickets, rent a bus, and make it a zone outing to the Monday Night game @ Indy. I know the stadium and seats suck, but it would be awesome!

B)

Ticket prices for that game are off the charts. Look to pay 100 plus per seat even in the upper deck.

That would be a good idea though. What I would like to see (of very little cost) is a get together at NFL Central (the stadium for those unknowing) for an away game towards the end of the season (when I'm home). It doesn't cost anything and we could block off a bunch of tables and have a good time with some frosty beverages (or cokes for the youngsters)...

WHODEY !!!

I'm pretty much afraid of going to pittsburgh. hahahaha

Listening to some of you automatically rule out goin there is pretty funny. They don't seem to mind coming here and gettin in fights. I'd love to go up in a group, but even if I was able to get 2 tickets I'd be going with my Pollack jersey on.

There would be nothing sweeter than goin there and seein the squealers fall on their face.

It's amazing to me that every time I go to Heinz Field I see so few fans of the other team. I think it can attribute it to the following. If the Steelers are playing KC and 2000 people buy tickets and travel from KC. Most likely 1500 of them are KC based Steeler fans. (I had that explained to me by a ticket broker in Pittsburgh who talks to fans from opposing cities who tell him they are Steeler fans)

I live in Baltimore and there are plenty of Steeler fans in B-more each year. However, last year I went to Pittsburgh to see the Ravens-Steelers and I saw like 10 Raven fans.

I have no real desire to go to an away game in my Bengals gear and get beer thrown at me. Remember last year the kid at the Jacksonville game who got his face kicked in by a bunch of idiot Jags fans? There is not even a rivalry there, so it's just not worth it. I would consider going to a game where the fans are pretty tame, like Indy. But I would have thought that about the Jags too.

If I'm going to spend a couple hundred bucks to watch the Bengals play, I don't want to have it be a miserable experience where drunk idiots are trying to get me to fight them. I'll just watch it in my living room, and have my wife punch me in the face to recreate the atmosphere.

Or could it be that Pittsburgh is the Oakland Raiders of the midwest -- people don't think they'll have a good time rooting against the home team while getting a beer shower and a constant stream of obsenitites?

You're right, there are idiots in every city. Heck, I spent half of the Indy / Cincy game telling idiot Bengal fans to lay off a couple of Indy fans.

I have gone the last 2 times the Bengals went to Atlanta. I had a great time and for the most part, the fans were great. Of course, we had about 20 people in our group.

I would NEVER go to Pittsburgh or Cleveland. Stupid people just don't care.
