Trial date set for Henry.

Recommended Posts

Henry faces a felony gun charge in Florida stemming from a Jan. 29 incident in which he allegedly possessed a firearm outside an Orlando nightclub. Henry is charged with possession of a concealed firearm in that incident, a third-degree felony in Florida, punishable by up to five years in prison and a $5,000 fine. Two other charges from that incident, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and improper exhibition of a weapon, were dropped.

So let's see if I can get this straight....

July 26 Batavia (DUI appearance)

Aug 13 Washington (pre-season)

Aug 18 Buffalo (pre-season)

Aug 21 Miami (gun trial)

Aug 28 Green Bay (pre-season)

Sept 1 Indianapolis (pre-season)

Sept 10 Kansas City (suspended)

Sept 17 Cleveland (suspended)

Sept 24 Pittsburgh (suspended)

Sept 26 Covington (alcohol/minors trial)

Oct 1 New England (suspended)

Oct 8 Bye Week

Now, I'm getting ahead of myself, giving him a 4 game suspension for the pot bust in December, but it looks like young Mr. Henry is going to be busy this fall not winning games for the Bengals. Even if it's only a 2 game suspension, is Marvin going to activate him for the Pittsburgh game so he can then go on trial a few days later?

And considering that the Florida situation does not look favorable, it may be November before he'll even come close to playing on Sundays.

P.S. Marvin doesn't play guys who don't practice, so he won't play against Green Bay or New England, regardless of any suspension.

His schedule may be

Trial --Prison

Trial --Prison

Trial --Prison

All it would take is a hard a$$ judge that treats him like an ordinary person,I have seen people go to jail for a long time for much less.

I saw a thing on TV one day were a guy had a couple of light felonies, I think one was (breaking into)robbing a couple of parking meeters, one was stealing something at a store ,and the third was stealing steel cable and the guy got LIFE on the 3-Strikes Law.

I am not saying Henry will get anything like that but, he could see 6months a year?maybe even more these are serious charges and a judge may want to make an example out of him.

Elections are coming up and judges dont want to appear to be giving special treatment to athelets and celebs

If/when he gets jail they may not let him serve in the off-season,plus he also has the thing of all of them happening one after, showing that he has no remorse and is not about to change.
