The_Next_Big_Thing
those are all receivers with high percentage passes. Not fair to judge CJ like that. He doesnt go across the middle. The hell CJ doesn't go across the middle. That being said, he attempts to catch passes that are uncatchable and makes some spectacular acrobatic catches. Some of them he drops. He gets hit while receiving the ball more often because he is double covered.
BengalChamps
So, who's willing to admit that when TJ was coming back from his injury they were one of the ones calling for him to be cut?Me.me 2. TJ is the reason why i decided not to question ML when it comes to personell decisions. At the time, I couldnt believe they kept TJ.
andybren
Here is another ranking of WR's --- CJ is #2-- TJH is #9-- Butwheat(aka Henry)#57-- K-wash also listed. Also has rushing by WR's ---TJ #2 --CJ #5 Check it out http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/wr.phpAlso check out who's #6 on the rushing by WR's list....A. Chatman, formerly of Green Bay. TJ seems to be high on these lists because they take scoring into consideration. Here's my favorite stat from the original article....Houshmandzadeh tied Carolina’s Smith and Arizona’s Larry Fitzgerald with five third-down touchdowns.Smith and Fitzgerald each had 103 catches last year. TJ only had 78 catches. That's saying something, folks. TJ's making 'em count.
CBin2k7
There is no doubt in my mind that TJ is absolutely important to the Bengals offense. Without him the Offense loses a lot of punch in the red zone, TJ can score inside the 20's with the best of them, he is big, makes people miss and always makes the sure catch. We are lucky to have him, and have him locked up as well for what will turn out to be a below market value contract. He does need to work on that. No one questions his ability to make the big play, but the truly great receivers work on reliability too. derekshank
Did anyone notice that the #1 and #2 guys are guys who have the QB's who throw the NFL's most catchable balls? If I recall, Cincy and Indy were #1 and #2 as teams last year in dropped passes... so it has something to do with the WR's... but Chad, TJ, Henry, and every other guy who catches passes should be thanking God we went 2-14 and were able to bring Palmer in here.
