Kazkal Posted May 14, 2006 Author Report Posted May 14, 2006 Ya some talk about him on bengals board...he looks like he could be stud and great LB if we move too 3-4 but if we don't don't see much of a future for him here. Quote
Green 66 Posted May 14, 2006 Report Posted May 14, 2006 I was really impressed with the interview of Peko, seems to be a quality player and person. I also thought he looked good in the drills too taking something of a leadership position.Mike Green Quote
UK Bengal Posted May 14, 2006 Report Posted May 14, 2006 I was quite impressed with a few guys out there especially nicholson and for a QB that hasent played WR for a lot of years Reggie looked nice burning that tryout corner good things could be ahead !! Quote

HairOnFire Posted May 15, 2006 Report Posted May 15, 2006 I've loved the Whitworth pick from the start, and rewatching the combine coverage only strengthened that first impression. For a man to be that big with almost no belly whatsoever, well...it strikes me as a perfect pick to make when you play in the same division as the Steelers...as it's said that Whitworth's mean streak is broader than his back. Who-Dey! Quote

Who-Dey!Yeah... the only real downside is not from a Bengal perspective, but from a Whitworth perspective. On nearly any other team, he would be able to make an immediate impact... but on the Bengals he's going to have to wait. Quote
HairOnFire Posted May 15, 2006 Report Posted May 15, 2006 I think we'll see all of the top draft picks sooner than we've been led to believe. Joseph - I expect the Bengals to attempt whatever is possible to keep Tory James from wearing down later in the season, as I believe he's done two years in a row. Joseph may be too raw to play extensively, and I'm sure the Bengals have already started tweaking his technique. But a CB with 4.3 speed can handle man coverage right out of the box, and I imagine the Bengals will want to bloody Joseph fairly quickly by playing him in situations where his chances of success are higher than average. Whitworth - He could very quickly play himself into a role where he's the first backup lineman off the bench at several positions, and a role as a pure blocking "Move TE" in 2 TE sets shouldn't be ruled out, as the Bengals are going to lean heavily on a power running game if Palmer can't go. Rucker - Probably won't see much action early, but he's better than anyone here wants to give him credit for. In addition, he comes from a college that featured a pro defensive scheme, Tampa's Cover-2. And I'm talking about the entire defensive playbook, not just a drib or a drab. Quote
