cincy9275
he just had a press conference on NFL network. he said that under the new agreement that his team could end up spending more than they make in which could cause them to have to sell and move the team just to keep the bills in the league . but he said he will fight as hard as he can to keep the team in buffalo. what i am concerned about is will cincy be in the same boat and be forced to sell or move the team .please some one that understands this more than i let me know what are the possibility that Bengals may not be in cincy in there future. The_Next_Big_Thing
Mike Brown will not move the Bengals. They'll move over his dead body. The man's greatest fault is his loyalty to his family and he includes the fans of Cincinnati in his family.
cincy9275
i don't doubt mike browns loyalty to this city and this team . he is a business man first and i believe he will not stay in anything where he is losing money

Don't that that crap fool you. I agree that Mikey won't move. The man won't even sell his naming rights. He's old school, sometimes to a fault. Folz
This almost happened in the mid 90's im pretty sure. I was kind of young but i remember going to Soyer point and signing some kind of petition to keep them here. I don't know if it would have done anything, but it was still tite to see all those bengals fans and old players there. Brown didn't do it then so i don't think there is any way he would do it now considering the bengals market is on the rise for the first time in 15 years. Instead of us moving to baltimore, the browns did. HAHAHAHAHA. that sucks
JPW
The Bengals have very little debt, although they are a low revenue team they are near the top in profits. The Bengals are not going anywhere ...
HairOnFire
Here's a puzzler. If the Bengals lose the Portune lawsuit their current lease becomes invalid. Ignoring for a minute the 430 million in damages they be forced to pay...wouldn't Mikey be free to move his team?
Folz
The bengals already won the lthe first trial...Portune is just appealing it. I really don't think that there is much of a chance that the county can win the appeal.
MacD BengalFan
Anything that Ralph Wilson says right now IMO, is crying wolf. He and Mike Brown were the only two owners that voted against the revenue sharing because they didn't understand the agreement, so they feel they are getting screwed. I don't believe anything they say because they both have done nothing but destroy thier franchise's because thier concern about the profit margin being affected. Fortunatly one of them has allowed other people to run the team and they are on the rebound. I speak of Mike Brown. Both teams will not suffer the hardship as he claims because both teams fans are loyal and will continue to come out to the game and support them regardless. That's how you got that info on Mikey, right? With details on the CBA slowly coming out the consensous is that the players made out like bandits. I think Mikey was the only one that got the vote right if hte owners are trying to get themselves the best possible deal. Upshaw laid out the bait, everyone got nervous in the end, and the owners gave up a lot.

The fact is, neither understood the CBA and wanted more time to understand it which was not given.
ArmyBengal
Not only that, but Mikey KNEW the CBA was not in the best interest of the small market owners. This CBA might come back to haunt some of the owners, even the large market teams...WHODEY !!!
