combatbengal Posted April 5, 2006 Report Posted April 5, 2006 The NFL set new rules on celebrations. In don't think that players should get out of control and spike the balls on the 50 yard line llike Owens did. But what Chad has done is great. It wasn't tasteless at all. Check out the story. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/9345591 Quote
wookie Posted April 5, 2006 Report Posted April 5, 2006 THis is like weeks oldYeah, who cares anymore. Like they said, these guys are creative enough to come up with great celebrations within the guidelines.I, for one, will be glad to see the end of guys treating the football like a baby...changing a diaper and patting it on the "back". I'm just glad no one lifted their jersey to breast feed it. Quote
turningpoint Posted April 5, 2006 Report Posted April 5, 2006 I think I'm the only 1 that really didn't care if chad celebrated.I still think th Irish Jig dance he did is one of the most overated TD celebrations ever.It was amazing how well he did it but way overhyped.aMaybe he can go break some records this year instead, I'd rather see that. Hold up there grasshopper... I have NO problem with the celebrations by any WR and think they bring another bit of fun to the stadium. Not the game, the stadium, the fans !!! Does it bring attention to one person ?? Yes, but who cares ?? Really, does it embarrass some of you ?? Can't we just be happy we have a player who's not only good, but turns around and gives it back to the fans and the community ?? The Santa bag when he starter slinging t-shirts to the crowd was great !!! Rock on Chad !!! WHODEY !!! Quote
The_Next_Big_Thing Posted April 5, 2006 Report Posted April 5, 2006 No, they don't want Chad to tone it down. More than one owner that voted for this came out and said they couldn't wait to see what Chad Johnson was going to do within the rules. They are excited to see him continue to perform because they know he can find ways to do it without breaking the new rules. Quote
bengalboomer7 Posted April 5, 2006 Report Posted April 5, 2006 It's the biggest joke of a rule I've ever seen.He just can't go to the ground or use the ball as a prop. This will do nothing, except maybe give more fuel for idiotic flag happy refs Quote
ArmyBengal Posted April 5, 2006 Report Posted April 5, 2006 How the hell is it, you can't use the ball as a prop, but yet they can still spike the ball and dunk the ball over the goalpost ?? Dumbest f*cking sh*t I've seen in quite some time regarding the rules !!!WHODEY !!! Quote
