ArmyBengal Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 I just don't understand why you draft a tight end in the FIRST, while currently having one of the most explosive offenses in the league, and one of the worst defenses Well, not to say I agree with the TE in the 1st thing, but I can see where they would be considering it with Schobel gone, Henry up in the air, and Walter gone for added depth. Pope is a huge redzone target and can actually run the routes and catch the ball. However, that being said, I would be just as happy with a M. Lewis in the 2nd or Klopenstein in the 3rd after we draft defense with the first two picks. Anyway, hope you don't have to employ the use of that spoon !!! WHODEY !!! Quote

Kazkal Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 Steelers drafted a TE in the 1st who had a solid offense =P and he also played a big part in their offense in the year they went too the superbowl. Quote

I'm just saying, we're already considered one of the most explosive offenses in the league. But we're also known for one of the biggest swiss cheese defenses in the league. The first round is supposed to be where you get your elite players, although it is a crap shoot. I don't like the idea of making a strength stronger, while leaving your weakness to as is. I'm not against a tight end, just ABSOLUTELY not in the first round. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 BB7, I agree with you on this... I just hope the Bengals see things the same way !!!WHODEY !!! Quote
