  1. I was there with my brother-in-law. Both of us had hip flasks to ward off the cold.

That morning., we had seen the weather so were dressed with all the warm weather gear we could find. I have to say I wasn;t that uncomfy during the game.

Te biggest memory is when the O-line come out bare armed... it was like OMG! Munoz and Montoya are from a warm weather climate. But it proved we were ready and Air Coryell was gonna fold under the cold. What a great memory it was and is.

  2. As an old-timer who went to Nippert Stadium to watch the Bengals, I still think Greg Cook would have rewrote the records for QB's. Was he better than Anderson or Esiason? Yes, for one season. So I still have to rank them 1..2 simply because they did it over a lengthy career. But Cook for one season was the best I;ve ever seen, including the Montana's Young's and Namath's that have come and gone.

Having said that, I get a lot of the same impressions on ability off of Palmer. If he can stay healthy.. league records could well be broken.

  3. Peter King picked TB to win... so we're saved.

Lol. The Bengals' have lost 6 of their last 7 after the bye week - I view this one as a toss-up.

so what does this mean? we're not as bad as we're supposed to be or what? Dude.. one week, one trend, one season don't mean a thing... not to criticize but yer saying nothing.

  4. You people do know the difference between being

"arrested" and "convicted" of a crime right ?

    RIGHT ?

Like I said it is extreme to ALREADY convict him and

talk about him being in jail and all of the other BS

that is being plastered on this messaged board.

America went from innocent til PROVEN guilty.

To guilty til proven innocent !

I saw the same over-reactions from the Chad

"incident" and it later came out that it was

    really NOTHING.

Why don`t you wait before putting him in prison

for years, cutting him and all the other asinine scenarios

that are ALREADY being thrown about ?

oldschooler, you are absolutly right. In the USA you are "Innocect until proven guilty". And I happen to think it works fairly well.

The problem with Chris Henry is one of perception. Snap judgements are sad and often wrong, but once made are hard to overcome. Take, for instance, the case of one Ray Lewis. Attempted murder, plea-bargained, and convicted of obstruction.

Yet how often in the subsequent years have you heard about the thugs and criminals that pepper the Ravens roster? Now, though I absolutely agree with you about it being simply an arrest, and the legal system will deal with it, the perception is already cemented in the public consciousness. Chris Henry - pot smoker, stolen gun, brandishing a firearm.

The question to you is, do you want the Bengals to develop a reputation similar to the Ravens? I, for one, don't. For that reason alone, it's time to part ways and let the justice system works it's will.

  5. I read the police report in the incident (it's posted as a PDF ine the'CPO site) and in the last paragraph is this little tidbit that wasn;t mentioned in the story.

"The firearm was listed as stolen by the Pasco County Sheriff's Office on 12/16/05."

So though not a formal charge yet, don't be surpised if posession of stolen goods gets added to the grocery list.

On a personal note, I for one will be sad to see him go, but think the right thing to do is for ML to cut the losses and let the Florida penal system rehabillite the poor, misguided youth.

  6. I think Kitna walks. he will get good money somewhere like AZ, SF, NYJ, NYG, MIA....he is a good soldier but at this point will probably take the ching. who could blame him.

FA's may be another option. I'm not enamored with anyone out there in particular but there is something to be said for the experience that a Kinta or other offers.

There's no denying the fact that Kitna is now worth more to the Bengals than he was before the Bengals ran their 2nd offensive play of the last game. But it's just as true that Kitna never actually wanting out of Cincy in the first place. He just wanted a chance to play again, and as much as it pains me to say it....his future here is more certain now than anywhere else in the NFL.

If TN takes Leinert or Young, Volek becomes expendable. Also in FA I think I've seen McCown, Warner, and Kerry Collins being available. Any of em have better arms and "bigger" hands than Kitna and would be a decent fit til Carson is healthy.
