  1. I posted on here a few weeks back saying I was trying to get hold of tickets for the Bengals Packers game, well I now have 2 tickets! Section 309, so up high but fairly central. Paid more than the ticket price but not as much as I've seen them going for. From the SeatData website it looks like a good spot, but I'm a bit confused as the tickets have 'obstructed view' printed on them. But I can't see anything in the photo that could obstruct the view!

So now I'm very excited!! We never really get Bengals games on TV here so watching one live will be excellent, and I'll have to be careful not to go mad in the Pro Shop :D

I just need to sort out the details now.. just wee things like flights and hotels!

  2. I have one Bengals jersey that a friend got for me, an Esiason one! And unfortunately we get to see so few Bengals games over here that I don't feel hugely attached to any of the current players, though I would probably opt for a Rudi jersey (and may well get one if I make it over to a game this year).

  3. thanks again for the advice.

derekshank - your review as made me happier with the idea of sitting way up high! I've not been too keen as it's pretty far from the action but you seem to have found it better than sitting close..

jditty47 - interesting to know that's what happened last year. My bf has been stressing we should get tickets ASAP so I think I will start to think along those lines as well!

  4. Izzi, given that you are coming from so far away, my advice is to go ahead and make your arrangement on tickets now through a broker. You will want to know for sure you will have a seat when you begin your journey, one less thing to worry about.

I was indeed surprised at how quickly they disappeared through ticketmaster - in about 3mins it seemed! I've just been browsing stubhub.com and unfortunately they only ship to the US and Canada, and on the site say most tickets are sent out 7 days before the game. So that's not really going to work, it might have to be an ebay purchase now I think.

Thanks for the help from everyone by the way, I really appreciate it! I didn't think getting tickets was going to be quite this epic a task.

  5. thanks for the advice :) I'm planning on going with my bf (yes I'm female) and he's been saying we should just go for any seat just to be there, but of course I am doing my usual thing of wanting to get the best for my money! I'm sure I'll have a great time no matter where we end up sitting.

cincyhokie - I did think about waiting until nearer the time, but I'm a bit worried there will either be no tickets, or people will be so keen they will shoot up in price. But I do have a bit of time before I have to start thinking about plane flights and hotels...

  6. Newbie from the other side of the world looking for some advice! I'm trying to get hold of tickets for the Bengals-Packers game, and take in the game as part of a holiday. I'm from Scotland and have been a Bengals fan for over 10 years, so this is going to be an amazing trip if it manages to come together! Failed to get tickets on ticketmaster so I'm having to rummage round ebay and online ticket brokers. There doesn't seem to be a huge choice of areas and it's quite a bit more expensive - but I expected both of those things!

So, can people give me some ideas of where is a good place to sit? The reasonably priced options seem to be either reeeeeeally high up on the sides, or lower down in the end zones, with a few options for the corners. You guys must have some experience of all areas of the stadium, where would you recommend?

(and if anyone has 2 tickets they don't need for that game tell me how much you want for them!)

  7. I bought tix the last few years from on-line brokers such as this since I come to games from out of town and want to make it nice, and had no trouble, and received my tix in plenty of time. They are very reputable. Try stubhub.com among others.

thanks very much I appreciate the tip! :D I will go have a look at what they have available (might be more.. trustworthy than buying on ebay too)

  8. the ones I was looking at on ebay are gone. I couldn't buy them because I needed a US shipping address (for instant payment) and I was trying to arrange something with a friend but there wasn't time! :(

I guess maybe I should post a thread saying I'm looking, maybe someone can't make it and has tickets... I'm after 2 seats together as well, I'm beginning to think it's going to be impossible. This was going to be a once in a lifetime trip! *sigh*

  9. I just tried to get Texans + Packers ticket pack on ticketmaster, I was there from the moment they went on sale and didn't get any, they seemed to sell out in 3 mins (when I had tickets selected to buy, well, that was the moment the ticketmaster system told me there was an error and I lost my tickets!)

So, still searching for Bengals-Packers tickets, though it will probably be a fruitless search.

By the way I'm new here, from Scotland UK (so getting to see a live Bengals game was going to be pretty amazing, I can't believe I can't get hold of tickets :( )

  10. thanks for the replies. I'm still trying to get tickets - for the Packers-Bengals game at the end of October. I'm unsure whether to buy on ebay or to travel and hope to get tickets on the day. I just have a feeling it's going to be difficult to get tickets for that particular game! There are tickets on ebay now but I don't know if it's a good deal to buy now - but prices might only go up.

I tried to get tickets on ticketmaster today - the ticket packs - but they sold out in about 3mins. I can only assume they didn't have that many available!

Scottish bengal I'm from Stirling :)

  11. Hi, I'm a long-time Bengals fan living in Scotland UK. I'm hoping to have a holiday over in Cincinnati this autumn to take in a game - the Bengals Packers one on Oct. 30th. But I called the ticket office and it sounds as if single game tickets may never go on sale for most games! I am quite ridiculously keen to get to this game as it might be my only chance for a long time to see a Bengals game live (here in the UK I don't even get to see them on TV very often..).

Does anyone have any suggestions? What are the chances of buying tickets on the day? Worth travelling all that way in the hope of that or are they going to be reaaally expensive?
