  1. Something needed to be said, this is beyond ridiculous for a 17th over-all pick to be holding out at this point.

I didn't think Pollack was the type who was all about the $, thought he was a football player, a humble Christian Mr. good guy type.

So much for that, no one's making him retain his agents.

    Bring back Hardy!!! :)

As someone who has been around Pollack, he isn't.

I have no idea what is going on with his agent but David is maybe the last person in my life that I would ever think cares about a dollar here or there.

    His parents aren't poor.

I have no idea what Condon is doing to him.

  2. How can someone compare White to Pollack? Different positions, teams, and conferences.

    Two utterly different players.

As a UGA fan, I can't even begin to tell you how "on-the-field productive" Pollack will become. The guy just freakin knows how to find the football and get the player down.

He may struggle a bit in the first few games but when he gets it down, he will be SCARY.

  3. As a UGA senior....I am so damn excited that my two boys are heading to a very good NFL team.

Pollack will be fine wherever you put him.

But some of the posts that I have read on here expect Odell to become an immediate NFL starter and I wouldn't expect that just yet.

He is without doubt one of the fastest players on UGA's team last year....the explosion to the ball was drop-dead unbelievable. He also put on numerous hits on players that scared me just to look and see them.

    BUT

Odell goes in these spells where he misses a lot of tackles. Odell had horrible games against Tennessee and Florida....arguably our two biggest games. 7th round pick Fason, RB from UF, and others ran all over Thurman it seemed....whether it was through or around him. It left a lot of us scratching our heads.

Is it mechanics? I have no idea....consistency needs to be put in him.

Rumors have circulated here that when Tony Taylor went down in the pre-season...it sent Odell into turmoil because Taylor was the guy who had to tell Thurman what to do on many plays.

Be careful not to throw too much on Odell immediately.

  4. Did you read the bio on his website? In the off-season before the 2004 season, he went on a no-meat, no-sugar diet and lost 40 pounds. He then gained the weight back in the weight room. And then after the 2004 season, he added even more muscle. The guy's a complete stud. How soon 'til they start selling his jersey?

He didn't lose 40 pounds really.....

In 2003 he put on a lot of muslce/fat to try and beef up but instead lost a lot of speed and therefore went on a low-carb diet and lost about 20-25 pounds.

He is a very cocky kid which you all will love.

  5. I am a senior at UGA and thought I would drop bye to get after a few things.

Pollack is a freakin stud. You all will enjoy him beyond belief. His stats don't give him justice. He was everywhere all the time the last 3 years.

Odell is a different story though....his character issues are quite a lot....his team violations dealt with him hitting his girlfriend...not sure if that was ever publicly released but it was common knowledge around here...his g/f playes for the UGA basketball team.

He also has gotten into several scuffles downtown in Athens.

Pollack will make you proud. Thurman.....I would watch out for him off-the-field
