  1. 5th Round: Robert Sands, S, West Virginia

    That'll do.
  2. 5th Round: Robert Sands, S, West Virginia

Random? He's been projected in many mock drafts going to the Bengals for a while now. I can honestly say I'm not surprised one bit about him being in stripes.
  3. 3rd Round: Dontay Moch, OLB, Nevada

I don't understand how anyone could have a problem with this pick. He is a project, but does it matter right now? He'll have time to develop seeing that we probably won't be doing much this year with a starting rookie QB and WR anyway. I'd also like to add that we finally got a player on defense that brings some swag to the table! WHO DEY!!!
  4. 5th Round: Robert Sands, S, West Virginia

No... Too many players are called 'The Predator'. I think SandMan will do just fine!
  5. 4th Round Pre-Pick Thread

This order: 1.Clint Boling OG 2.Taiwan Jones RB 3.DeAndre McDaniel SS 4.Sam Acho DE/OLB 5.Greg Salas WR
  6. 4th Round Pre-Pick Thread

    McD! That or a RB.
  7. 2nd Round Pre-Pick Thread

Do you guys think at some point early on in this draft we take another WR? Caldwell, Simpson & Ocho all have one year left on their contracts. Not to mention Ocho will more than likely be traded or cut this year. I'm sure this isn't new to any one here but I just wanted to say don't be surprised if we do end up taking another receiver in rounds 3 or 4...
  8. 2nd Round Pre-Pick Thread

Oh God no. I'd rather stick with Jordan Palmer. Agreed. Not to mention Tyrod will probably be available later anyway.
  9. 2nd Round Pre-Pick Thread

Players that I'd like us to take in the 2nd. 1. DaQuan Bowers 2. Akeem Ayers 3. Ryan Williams 4. Marvin Austin Maybe Houston, Stanzi, Dalton or that Center/Guard from Penn State in the third. That's right, I think Dalton would be a reach in the second.

    Give me Carimi!
  12. 1st Round Pre-Pick Thread

I doubt we'd trade down for more picks because we thought Fairley would still be available in the "8-15 range". Like you said in another thread WCA. Why would we trade down (not in Mike Browns nature)? We would reach Fairley at #4. If we want Fairley we'll take him at #4...
  13. Final Mock 4.0

C'mon now Army. You have to have a little sense of humor when it comes to your favorite NFL team being the Cincinnati Bengals... But aside from the pot thing, I think Houston would compliment Dunlap very well. With Houston at DE, MJ could take Rey Reys spot while Rey takes the spot he SHOULD be in (MLB).
  14. Final Mock 4.0

I know. I just can't make a mock that doesn't involve trading picks/players. No fun. More of the reason for us to draft him right?
  15. Mock Draft 3.0

#1. Panthers: Blaine Gabbert, QB, Missouri #2. Broncos: Marcell Dareus, DT, Alabama #3. Browns: A.J. Green, WR, Georgia [TRADE] with BUF #4. 49ers: Patrick Peterson, CB, LSU [TRADE] with CIN #5. Cardinals: Von Miller, DE/OLB, Texas A&M #6. Bills: Cam Newton, QB, Auburn [TRADE] with CLE #7. Bengals: Julio Jones, WR, Alabama [TRADE] with SF Bengals trade their #4 pick, Palmer + a 7th round pick for the 49ers #7 pick, 2nd pick, 3rd pick. Trade Chad to the Jets for their 3rd. Re-sign Benson & J-Joe. 1. Julio Jones, WR, Alabama Big physical WR and can be a big help in the run game. 2. Justin Houston, DE, Georgia I see JH falling out of the first round with this being such a deep class of DE's this year. 2b. Stefen Wisniewski, C/G, Penn State Replaces Cook right away. 3. Andy Dalton, QB, TCU Dalton (IMO) is the best WCO QB in the draft this year. 3b. DeAndre McDaniel, SS, Clemson Boom or bust. 3c. James Carpenter, OT/G, Alabama Boom or bust. 4. Greg Little, WR, North Carolina I know we selected Julio already but why not? Great value if he's here in round 4. 5. Nate Irving, ILB, North Carolina State Depth at ILB. 6. Charlie Gantt, TE, Michigan State Good blocker. 7. BPA
  16. Mock Draft 3.0

I think Palmer is worth a late first round pick at best. But do I think we'll get anything for him? No. He'll retire or he'll stay a Bengal. I just like to hope it'll happen. And I was not offended by the way. I like when people express their opinion. Without opinion there would be no point in a message board.
  17. Mock Draft 3.0

Thanks for replying. The reason of the 7th & Palmer is because I'm pretty sure you can only have up to 10 picks (so people have told me). My bad if thats false. So we had to give one up if we wanted to trade Chad for a draft pick too. And if I'm not mistaken, if this draft were to turn out this way then that would mean not only did we get rid of Chad. We probably won't re-sign Owens... So we're down 2 receivers. We did draft Caldwell & Simpson back in 08. So I wouldn't be surpised to see the same thing happen again this year. You could say we have bigger needs but I think I did a good job of doing that in my mock.
  18. 2011 NFL Mock 2.0

Expecting all that CBA crap to be done before the draft. Needs: QB (if Carson is traded or retires), OG/C, WR, SS, ILB/OLB, DE/DT. There should be plenty of FA Safeties. We could pick someone up like Huff, Landry, Mikell or whoever. And Manny Lawson would be a great pick up to play OLB moving Rey to ILB. Manny would be a better fit in a 4-3 scheme. This would keep MJ at DE where he belongs. As much as I'd like to see MJ at OLB I'd hate to see us try and move a DE to OLB and fail AGAIN. Trade Chad to the Jets for their 2nd round pick. Trade Carson to Arizona for their 2nd and 5th round picks. We re-sign Benson to a 3 year deal. Let J-Joe walk. Panthers take Fairley. Broncos take Bowers. Bills take Green. 1. Patrick Peterson - CB - LSU Obvious pick if we let J-Joe walk. 2. Stefen Wisniewski - C - Penn State Great pick if Stefen is here. Replaces Cook. 2. (from AZ) Jonathan Baldwin - WR - Pittsburgh We need a tall end zone target. Plus no more Owens and possibly no OchoCinco. 2. (from NYJ) Rodney Hudson - G - Florida State Rod can play both LG and RG. Great value right here. 3. Marvin Austin - DT - North Carolina I wouldn't take him any higher then this. Worth taking a shot on him if he's here at 3. 4. Christian Ponder - QB - Florida State He'd fit well in the WCO. More mobile then Palmer. Good pocket passer as well. 5. Stanley Havili - FB - USC Stanley would be a perfect FB in the WCO. Good speed and a good pass catcher coming out of the backfield. 5. (from AZ) Lance Kendricks - TE - Wisconsin Good blocking TE. 6. Ronald Johnson - WR/KR - USC Good KR. Good speed. 7. Brian Rolle - OLB - Ohio State Good Special Teams player.
  19. Who will be the starting QB in 2011?

  20. My first Mock for 2011

I'm pretty sure we'll trade Chad. We won't attempt to re-sign Terrel. We fired Brat but I think after all of that Palmer will still want out. Does that mean we'll trade him? Doubt it. But assuming we did. Here's how I hope things would turn out. The Bengals re-sign Ced Ben and tag Joseph. Give the Eagles a 2012 third and fourth round pick for Kolb. Or search the free agent market... Trade Chad to the Raiders for a third. (Bye Bye ) Trade Palmer to the Seahawks for they're first pick. (Not likely but I can hope they let Hasselbeck go making they're interest in Palmer even bigger)... Here it goes... 1. A.J. Green - WR - Georgia Obvious pick with T.O. and Chad out. 1b. Tyron Smith - OT - USC Andre Smith sucks. Besides, we need OL help. 2. Akeem Ayers - OLB - UCLA This lets Rey move to MLB. 3. Ahmad Black - SS - Florida Black is more of a cover strong safety rather then another Roy Williams. 3b. Sam Acho - DE - Texas Someone to help pressure the QB. 4. Kendall Hunter - RB - Oklahoma State Underrated. He'd be a great change of pace back. 5. Stanley Havili - FB - USC Big fan of this kid. We NEED a FB. 6. Greg McElroy - QB - Alabama Gotta good feeling about this kid. 7. Dane Sanzenbacher - WR - Ohio State We always draft more then one WR...
  21. My first Mock for 2011

What I like: I LOVE the picks of Ahmad Black and Stanley Havili. Both would be great pickups for us in my opinion. I Don't have an issue with any of the trades, and I do like the idea of adding help on the offensive line early. Kendall Hunter is another guy that I like who I think would be a solid pickup at that point. I'm also not crazy about adding another linebacker and DE that early, but if you're addressing the QB and WR issues earlier, it's understandable. That being said, maybe we could pick up a guy like Mikel Leshoure at running back in the second? He's a beast. My second mock will be different since the hiring of Mr. Gruden.
  22. My first Mock for 2011

Dislike it just not a fAN OF Kolb the eagles give him a shet ton of money to be there franchise QB then trade him 1 year later? If he was so great vick would be playing for a new team not him. 1. A.J. Green - WR - Georgia Good pick 1b. Tyron Smith - OT - USC Well with Marvin returning I think Andre remains our RT so we should be looking for help inside to replace Livings...because he was our weakest link on the oline. 2. Akeem Ayers - OLB - UCLA Solid pick but way to early for Linebacker (Unless his name is Casey Matthews 3. Ahmad Black - SS - Florida Solid And with that being said I'd like to see Roy Return instead of Ndukwe. 3b. Sam Acho - DE - Texas If we aren't getting a top 5 talent at DE i'll pass because It's alrdy hard enough to justify top 5 pick on position... (Because the coaches like elephant ends and more then likely two of these make the team Rucker,Fanene, geathers or odom) 4. Kendall Hunter - RB - Oklahoma State Fine 5. Stanley Havili - FB - USC We need a fullback?I think we have one on the team alrdy in Chris Pressley if we wanna go back to Smash Mouth football then he's our FB. 6. Greg McElroy - QB - Alabama Eh Guess it doesn't hurt tom brady came in the 6th 7. Dane Sanzenbacher - WR - Ohio State Turn and burn Sorry man just not Feeling the draft What Roll does Michael Johnson Play with this draft? you take a DE & SLB Early...If we take a DE in this years draft then MJ will probably play linebacker if we take linebacker he'd probably end up sticking with DE but if we take both? Either we have rookies who wont getting playing time or a physical freak in MJ....Also can't get behind trading for Kolb as listed earlier if the eagles don't want him I just feel it's probably because they are regretting giving him all that money like they did with Stacey Andrews. Casey Matthews is projected as a 4-5 round pick. But I'm sure his stock will rise... MJ would stay DE if this draft were to happen. Also hoping we let Odom walk. He's injury prone. That's why I had a DE and an OLB early. And I'm not a fan of Kolb what so ever. Just seems like something the Bengals would do...
  23. Hue!!! Don't do it!

We're dumping him? Where did you hear that?
  24. Killing Us Softly

Agree with you 100%. To be honest though, I could care less who we pick. Nothing can help this pathetic piece of trash we call a team...
