  1. O-line D-line

I'd bet you better check yourself right now. One more post like this and you'll find yourself on a long vacation. I'm letting you slide one time. There won't be another. My dad was a good man, so keep it between you and I. Oh I dont think so.
  2. O-line D-line

Weren't you the guy saying "It's only pre-season"? Welcome to the real world. Can you read dumbass? The only thing we can evaluate with our skill positions out is line play. I am not saying it will kill us but it is definatlly an area we need to improve, but I can not predict what we are going to do until we have are entire offense healthy and playing together for atleast an entire game. You call me dumb ass now. I'll be happy to return the favor later when it counts. I CAN SEE WHAT IS COMING! Take off your rose colored glasses. Your father never loved you. Its not your fault. However it is your fault that you predict the season based on what backups do in the preseason. Go play soccer. My father died of cancer four years ago, and I was by his side. If you want to slam me, please do so, but leave my family out of this. To get back on topic, grudges aside, we will have an official season predictions thread. Please feel free to go head to head with me there. The old "died of cancer" bit..nice try..id bet AIDS

With out our core of skill players out it is harder to gauge our progress, however, We can evaluate our Lines. No pass rush what so ever and break downs in our O-line is what is glaring at me as I watch us play New Orleans. Levi and Guichek look like weak links. Continuing to miss blocking assignments and continuing to give up pressure up the middle is forcing to Palmer to not step up into the pocket. The Dline is so dissapointing. NO rush at all. If we give a QB 5 seconds to throw, anytone will look like an allpro. We need to gel quickly or else it will be a painfully long season.
  6. All you monday morning quarterbacks..take a breath...step back and realize ur knowlege is not as big as you would imagine. Our starters have played very limited and, yes, they have not scored everytime they touch the ball or have 15 interceptions and 10 sacks, but my god this is PRACTICE...what are we talkin about here...PRACTICE...Once we start the season and play a game or two we will get a rhythm...There is no way to put us at 4-12 after such little time on the field...Relax and enjoy the season. We will be fine and here is a nugget of truth for all to take with them...The entire afc north has played poorly this preseason..whodey
  7. Pollack?

I was told recently that he never actually put his paperwork in for retirement from the nfl...Does anyone know anything to the contrary? I am sure he is done but like most bengals fan, until I see the last dirt filling the whole there is a chance...someone enlighten me...
  8. He is back.

    http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3541693 here we go.
  9. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3493767 He will be reinstated. I don not want to play against him. If we re-sign him, that makes us much more potent. No matter what his character is, he is a top tier reciever. Bottom line.
  10. It is almost june and all I see in most of these bengals forums is negative reinforment for either hypothetical situations or moves that bengals fans do not agree with. The bottom line is we cant worry about every possible thing that COULD or COULD NOT happen. Odell and Chrisy Henery got cut, ok move on. It cant be that much of a schock. Both are very talented but they f#cked up over and over. Chad Johnson does not want to be a bengal. Chad is a cancer on this team regardless of his talent level. This situation will pan out for everyone. If he is a distraction he will be cut ala T.O. and Keshawn, forever branded a b!tch. We didnt sign S. Rogers. Maybe Pat Simms is better than rogers ever could be. Do not forget that detroit was willing to trade a player that they felt messed up their chemistry. Ok, bottomline...If november rolls around and we are out of playoff contention again, it is time to start venting our frustrations but my advice to all of us die hard homers is relax, take it in stride and remeber that we have Carson Palmer as our quarterback. We are never out of any game with number 9 and as long as we get some breaks we will be fine. The AFC NORTH is a very tough division, it is anyones guess who will come out as champs.
  11. Bengals have the Best Draft review by far!!!

Obviously I hope that is a joke.
  12. Right with you Schnarf. This team healthy is as good as any. Just need to see how the young lbs and dl will step up. Its going to be an interesting season to say the least. We do have potential. I like the optimism. I do not even feel like it is being optomistic..it is reality..teams would kill to have our offensive talent and bringing in utech will help us dramatically in the redzone which we need to be more consistant.Being able to run 2 tightend sets with a legit tightend outlet will make us substantially better...Our offense should move the ball and any improvement in the running game should make us scary good. If our defense can atleast manage a game and protect an early lead will put our defense in to many passing downs where we can bring pressure and create more turnovers(05' int..lead the nfl with an average defense)..as long as we have better luck in the IR department we are going to be above 500. with our destiny in our own hands
  13. There is one common denominator for all championship teams. You have to have the horse, yes, but you also have to have the breaks go your way. Injuries, good game calls by refs, and biggest is the ball has to bounce in your favor. In many of our losses last year we got beat by bad bounces, official calls and obviously our defense was destroyed by injuries. We put more people on IR last year on defense than the past 5 years. That has a lot to do with consistancy on defense. As long as we stay healthy this year our defense will be better and as long as number 9 is behind center, we are in every game offensivly. This season will be up to the football gods, but I won't be shocked when we are playing in late January. Who dey
  14. What would you do for $250,000?

Chad has dissapointed and insulted many of us bengals fans. I truly believe it comes down to him wanting more money...For 250k I would blow Bill Cosby after he took a sh1t and ran a mile..on the 50 yard line at half time of the superbowl
  15. And......Begin!

Are you a professional message board writer? Chad could be traded so "if" he was traded..etc..etc.. Just some food for thought on something in the media.... Well, the only thing I am a professional at is a Soldier and EMT, I just play around here and spout off about sh*t that I'm really just guessing at. Much the same as about 99.9% of the people on this site I would imagine... That being said, some additional food for thought is the amount of cap hit the Bengals would take by letting Chad walk. That is always the one thing you NEVER hear any of the ANALists talk about on ESPN. They just keep bumping their gums about how great of an idea it is for Chad to go somewhere else. Whatever... Now if, and that's a big "IF" Chad were to buy his way out of his contract sort of like what Moss did and then we were to get the Raiders 1st and 2nd round picks this year, I would pack Chad's household goods free of charge and see him to the plane... I'm thinking there won't be any backaches in my future though... Oh yeah, not to mention this is some internet guessing journal written by Joe Neckbone... Once again, who cares ?? WHODEY !!! Discipline!! That is what this message board needs. If you're looking for discipline, you might want to join the Army or Marines. The NFL does not have what you would call a good regimen devoted to this. As far as fan forum message boards, you are really barking up the wrong tree. The sooner you realize this, the better off you will be. You sure do feel bad about yourself...
