  1. A message from the enemy - Bengals vs. Ravens

I love outsiders with unbiased opinions--welcome moon! I'm a hardcore bengals fan, but some of these opinions about a Bengals blowout seem like opinions from a 12 yr old...how old are you PatternMaster?? Hey Moon, what NFL lines are looking intriguing to you this week? I always like week 1, linemakers only have last year to go off of and it always seems like there's a few that are easy pickins'...on that note let me go look, I haven't seen them yet....
  2. Skyler Green?

Skyler Green was actually pretty big time in his sophomore season at LSU. He had a bunch of big plays throughout the year and played in that Oklahoma v LSU national championship game. I doubt he does anything this year, but I would throw caution to the wind and put him back there at PR. Ratliff really is THAT bad.
  3. Secondary Tackling

Tory James also displayed his other tackling technique on Sunday. Instead of wrapping up or even going for the legs, he gets real close to the ball carrier, practically gives them a hug, tries to stop all of their forward progress and drag them backwards (it never happens), and then repeatedly try to strip the ball while he prays that someone else will come up and make the tackle. I've seen his strip work once, but every other time the carrier gets an extra five yards on the play through this process.
  4. Chris Henry needs to be cut

If you only think he dropped a td pass then you are mistaken. I've been a supporter of Henry up until last week. The lack of effort to go up for a catchable ball against Baltimore was unacceptable. Then this week there were 3 plays that showed he has a vagina. Carson made a bad decision and threw it into 4 Chargers defenders. What does Henry do? He stops in his tracks, and then watches the ball go into the crowd and almost get intercepted. f**king bat the ball down or something! Everyone on the team thinks you're a dumb whore, why not lay out once and show you're not before your opportunities in the NFL dry up. Then on the last drive, he caught a pass across the middle which he could have bounced outside and at least get more yards/stop the clock, but no, he stops, and falls down inbounds so he doesn't take a hit. Then the endzone pass, well, it was a tough catch, but you can see him change his approach to the pass when he realizes he might take a hit. He lets it hit his body, game over.
  5. I am sick of hearing how Marvin is doing a bad job.

I think you're right on. Every time Carson drops back this year I feel like he will be sacked or knocked down. Last year I had the total opposite feeling. By the way, we should have stuck to the run even though we were down 14 and the Ravens were eating up the clock early. However, I was glad that we didn't stray away from totally as the game neared the end. Rudi looked to have good production on his limited carries.
  6. bengals game in japan?

Three bengalszoners in Japan at the same time...wow.
  7. 3-0 is huge for this team

I would like to believe you Bucky but unless we get healthy, with our brutal schedule...11 or 12 is optimistic wouldn't you say? I don't know, in all likelihood we get Dexter, Tab and Odell back after the bye. Odell might not have a huge impact but he adds depth and I'm sure will end up with a situational role. Instintively I always think 11 or 12 wins is optimistic, but when you really think about it the Bengals really do overmatch every opponent. Teams need to be on top of almost every aspect of their games to hold us under 20 points. You slack in any one area and this team makes you pay for it. I say at most we lose one game to the Steelers or Ravens, and then one possibly to the Colts. 14-2 wouldn't surprise me.
  8. Growing a beard

I say keep it till Sunday morn. Shave it at like 12 before the game, put on some damn good refreshing aftershave, and get ready for the inevitable and permanent change in Pittsburgh history as the new (and long) era of the Bengals as the class of the AFC North begins. Rejoice that your incarceration in that overly suffocating city is almost over, as the Bengalis bring you to the promised land.
  9. T.J. In the Locker Room

T.J. really does not give a rat's behind what other people think and I love it. He's a good dude and he won't back down to any loud mouth assclown. Chad bringing in the deodorant as a mic...classic.
  10. Pittsburgh - the inside scoop - week 3

I need to stop reading this thread. After four years in Yinztown I got out this May and just recently feel like I completed my Pissburgh detox. Reading about all of these dirty ignorant people with out-of-this-world retarded-ass opinions is causing me to have flashbacks. Stay strong duus..keep the faith. The Yinz can't take what's deep inside of you. That part of you that realizes that this dirty place you mistakenly ended up in cannot represent the whole of mankind...the hope that there is someplace better. The hope that someday this falsely over-confident breed of people will be brought to their knees by the truth of their existence, and the truth of what is real beauty...not Primanti and 'Arn City...but the Bengalis... Hahahahaha I seriously had deep thoughts like that about Pittsburgh when I was trapped there.....Thank the Lord(and graduating) for setting me FREEEEEE!!!!
  11. Dr. Z Reveals His True Colors Once Again

and Porter's rotweilers ate his pony, too. http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/pittsburgh...s/s_471473.html Damn dude, I might be 22, but if some f**king pitbulls killed my motherf**king pony I'd be crying my eyes out! It's everyones dream to have miniature horse, isn't it? Reminds me of that Seinfeld episode... HELEN: I hear the fella owns a couple of racehorses. You know, trotters, like at Yonkers. JERRY: Horses. They're like big riding dogs. ELAINE: What about ponies? What kind of abnormal animal is that? And those kids who had their own ponies.. JERRY: I know, I hated those kids. In fact, I hate anyone that ever had a pony when they were growing up. MANYA: ..I had a pony. (The room is dead quiet) JERRY: ..Well, I didn't really mean a pony, per se. MANYA: (Angry) When I was a little girl in Poland, we all had ponies. My sister had pony, my cousin had pony, ..So, what's wrong with that? JERRY: Nothing. Nothing at all. I was just merely expressting.. HELEN: Should we have coffee? Who's having coffee? MANYA: He was a beautiful pony! And I loved him. JERRY: Well, I'm sure you did. Who wouldn't love a pony? Who wouldn't love a person that had a pony? MANYA: You! You said so! JERRY: No, see, we didn't have ponies. I'm sure at the time in Poland, they were very common. They were probably like compact cars.. MANYA: That's it! I've had enough! (She leaves the room) ISAAC: Have your coffee, everyone. She's a little upset. It's been an emotional day. (Isaac leaves, everyone looks at Jerry) JERRY: I didn't know she had a pony. How was I to know she had a pony? Who figures an immigrant's going to have a pony? Do you know what the odds are on that? I mean, in all the pictures I saw of immigrants on boats coming into New York harbor, I never saw one of them sitting on a pony. Why would anybody come here if they had a pony? Who leaves a country packed with ponies to come to a non-pony country? It doesn't make sense.. am I wrong? Seriously though, I would bitch slap Porter so hard....then run away as fast and far as humanly possible.
  12. Fantasy Football query (Move LJ for Gates and Holt?)

It's a touchdown and yardage league. I'd be more inclined to do it if the Rams were putting up points or if the Bucs didn't look inept in offense. None of the players in the deal have put up big numbers yet so I don't know. Anyone heard anymore info on Trent's recovery timetable? I'm stumped.
  13. Chad's postgame interview

He was definitely a little woozy, not seeing straight, etc. from the hit...not from medication, and this had to be taken after the game was over. He was all stitched up, and do they let the media in the locker room before the game is over?? The funniest part to me was right after the Bengals PR man called for the interview to stop. Chad looks at him confused and looks like he's gonna fall over or pass out, then he sees Hue Jackson and yells at him across the room all energetic and s**t, and then immediately his whole complexion changes like he's gonna puke! Seriously though, I realy hope he's ok and this doesn't become a lingering concussion problem.
  14. According to our local Steeler fans...

My only concern is how Heath Miller will play this week without Dexter in the secondary...everyone knows tight ends tend to torch us. I think it will be a close game, and if we do lose its not the end of the world. Worst case we split the series. Gotta remember JAX only scored 9 points, the Steelers D looked pretty good. Granted, our O is more versatile and explosive, but our D is not on par with JAX. I think we'll be ok as long as Levi and Houshmazode are back. We need Levi against their defensive rush and blitz's, I don't care what you guys think about that issue. Houshmazoulie is needed as well. I mean, we got depth and playmakers with Henry and Kwash, but I just don't trust Henry to be the consistent number 2. The last Bengals/Steelers game in Pitt had me on my toes, and the Steelers are a very hard team to put the nail in the coffin on. I'd feel much more comfortable with the very clutch Houshvadilla out there when the game gets gritty.
  15. Alright, one of my buddies is thin on RB's, and I have LJ, J. Jones, Gore, and B. Jacobs already. He wants LJ and will give up Antonio Gates (Cooley is my best TE), and one of his WRs (Holt, Galloway, Evans, Bruce). I really don't think LJ has as much value as he did before their O-line went down, and now that teams will target their running game with Trent out. I think Gates will become more valuable as SD lets the reigns of Rivers in the next couple of weeks, and I would probably take Holt as the receiver in the trade (I have Stallworth, Chambers, Houshyurmama, Wilford, and Jennings at the moment). Is it retarded to move LJ, or do my Bengalszone brethren think I'd be getting good value in my situation?!?! Give your opinions please!
