  1. offense needs to lead

AJ on what would've been a TD in the 1st quarter. Underthrew AJ again on a pass that he completed to him deep. Other than that, nope. And even so, AJ dropped that pass that hit him in the hands. Doesn't usually happen. Amazing a ball that traveled 55 yards in the air was considered underthrown. The play that AJ dropped wasn't one of the plays that I mentioned. Not sure if I'm missing sarcasm on the 2nd comment? The ball was underthrown because AJ had to slow down to allow it to come to him, and it didn't catch him in stride.
  2. Prime Time to trade Whalen to the Colts

Line play could be an issue, too, but the line is mostly the same as last season, and rushing YPA has dropped from 4.1 to 3.6. What would be nice is stats on rushes with and without a FB from last season (Pressley/Conner played 19% of snaps last year)... The line is the same, but Whit is banged up. Cook has been subpar, and Boling has had his struggles as well. I'm not that surprised. But, agreed. I would like to see the numbers that you referenced.
  3. Prime Time to trade Whalen to the Colts

Great! We haven't needed him And we run so much 2TE that Conner would have hardly been used anyways. Still makes sense. Ehhhhh...I think the lack of a true FB can be seen in the rushing stats. The Bengals have risen to No. 9 offensively, but it's been on the strength of the passing game. The run game is sub-par in yards (19), points (19) and YPA (25). They are on pace for just under 1,600 rushing yards, which would be the lowest since 2010 (4-12). That could bite them in the second half of the season. Is it the lack of a FB hurting that, or is that more due to the line? The line has been great in pass protection, but not nearly as good in opening up holes for our RBs. Look at how our interior was dominated yesterday against the run. Granted, against some great DL, but Conner wouldn't have helped open holes against Wilkerson and Richardson.

  6. Andy Dalton Holding Back Would-Be Contender

I mean, Andy completed 9 passes behind the line of scrimmage for 151 yards. He also had 249 YAC from his receivers. He definitely didn't play as bad as he had been, but he wasn't amazing as the numbers indicate either. Finally a gameplan that worked to his strengths.
  7. Bengals @ Browns Game Thread

A lot less blame on the playcalling, and more blame on all of the throws that Andy has missed. He's missed some ugly ones.
  8. Bengals @ Browns Game Thread

Johnson was inaccurate against backups in the preseason. That's his knock as well.
  9. Bengals @ Browns Game Thread

    Man, we need a QB.
  10. Interesting Andy Dalton Stats

There was minimal forcing it to AJ today.
  11. Packers @ Bengals Game Thread

    Great drive.
  12. Interesting Andy Dalton Stats

Leading a comeback agains a good defense? Eh, that's not a skill. Deep ball accuracy, pocket presence, consistency with throws, yes.
  13. Steelers @ Bengals MNF Game Thread

Jermaine Gresham got tagged with a few phantom holds, IMO.
  14. Hard Knocks...again

What did Hue do that makes him a clown exactly?
  15. Bengals @ Bears Game Thread

Actually, as I said, I was looking at (analyzing?) the stats The dline is conspicuous by their absence in the stats The turnovers were conspicious by their presence in the stats Yes, but ESPN stats are going to be different than what you see watching the game. Especially in regards to D-Line. Not ESPN. The stats were from NFL.com. Gameday section. But again, yes, I said I had not watched the game, and these were my thoughts based on the __stats__ (solely and exclusively), so I don't know what your point is. Is it that I am I am not permitted to discuss stats? The dline did not produce a sack The offense committed turnovers These are Facts. Get over yourself Why are you getting angry? I merely questioned you calling players out to play up to their play grade after admittedly not watching the game. NFL.com stats don't tell the whole story all of the time and that's a fact.
