A BB Gun. Everytime one of them makes a run at it pop'em once. Maybe twice to really get the point across. I'd recomned something stronger, but it's probably not a good idea indoors.

But if that's a bit much kicking works wonders. Big stick? Again, cat's are dumb so you may have to whack them a few times but they'll eventually learn.

But really, you should listen to Jditty, he's right.

A black plastic sack should do the trick.

Remember:

A dog isn't just for Christmas, .........

if carved right in can last right up to New Year!

i've never had any trouble with my cat tryin to climb the tree...just the dog drinkin the water.

The biggest problem we've ever had with our tree could top all y'alls problems. haha.... We got our tree one day and broght it home and didn't bother to search inside the tree for some nests or anything. We just trimmed it and put it up, put lights on it, and all that. That night the praying mantis nest that was inside the tree warmed up and opened. We had HUNDREDS of praying mantis attached to walls, celing, furniture, lamps, etc. Lets just say we check our trees many times before we bring it inside now
