Playoff scenarios

Question.

Scenario. Chiefs lose. Bills win. Bengals win. Bills 1. Chiefs 2. Bengals 3.

How is a potential Bengals/Bills AFCCG not on a neutral field? Considering with the above scenario of the Bengals would have beat the Bills in week 17, they’d have the number 1 seed.

How is this not included?

The corporate answer for all Bengals/Bills scenarios is “they played the same number of games, and the Bills had a better record”. I think it’s a crap argument, but that’s the argument.

Apparently it was also discussed by the competition committee, and there were concerns about “logistics” (whatever the hell that means).
