3rd- Wide Out

Recommended Posts

Between the group of Ross, Cody, Malone, and Erickson.

My guess is 1 of these guys breaks out and becomes an important piece in the offense making plays as coverage focuses on Green and Boyd.

Based on early returns.  Malone is standing out.  He fills the Green role since he has speed.

Alex Erickson will have a bigger role based on what they are saying.

Ross is non factor until he can get on the field which might be a couple weeks.

I expect Erickson and I think it should be Erickson.  The sky is the limit for that guy, and he's exactly the kind of player that was constantly underused by Marvin Lewis and his staffs.

Right now looks like Willis, with Erickson, Ross and Malone vying for time behind?

Either way, without AJ, that's an ugly WR corps, as much as I like Boyd and Erickson.

To be fair I figure most WR groups suck when the #1 is out.  We could do worse, though it's hard to say what we'll get from Willis.

Cooper is apparently backing up Ross and isn’t listed as a returner so (shrug emoji).

Eifert should be listed in this group.  He's not a TE anymore.

We'll see how much they're willing to unleash him early.

I dont think the new UDCFA starter will be able to seperate enough to be effective

my theory is that they will keep rotating one wr in from the practice squad til they find one who is productive on game day.  I dont know if they will give them 1 game or 2 games to show they can

So they kept 7. Any word on how many of those will be active Sunday ??

Nothing official that I've seen.  5 is the typical number unless you have a special teams ace that you can't afford to sit. Without Core, I'm not sure we have that guy.

Green is out and then my guess is that either Tate or Cooper will sit.

Weird to cut Malone and Core, Core could at least play good ST's,  I have to think this offense requires a different type of WR than the tall, lanky, speedy sideline types Mike Brown salivates over.  That's all I can think of, Taylor likely holds sway over offensive personnel maybe more so than Marvin did, or cared to.

Again, it will be interesting to see how this plays out. I do like seeing the shakeup if I’m being honest. While Core and Malone could play, they went in a different direction.

When was the last time you saw something like that around here ??

Of course the Patriots sign him.  Nothing wrong with the squeaky clean Patriots!  Their spree killer tight end offs himself in prison, their owner gets busted for consorting with prostitutes, and they signed Antonio Brown.  And that’s just in the last year.

If Antonio Brown suddenly quiets down, conforms, and fits well into the Patriots’ system, I can see trouble for him down the road.

The Raiders may come to the conclusion that after signing his deal with them he changed his mind.  And a really good case can be made that he acted in bad faith in an attempt to get out of his deal (this is assuming that the unhinged version of himself was an act that he turns off as soon as he arrives in Foxboro).  Contracts require that you act in good faith.  Even if you want out, there are ways to go about that.

It was 100% a Rosenhaus scam. Soon as he caught wind the Pats were interested, he had AB act the fool until he got booted. Raiders got completely played.

Lost in all the scuttlebut is AB lost a lot of money.

The Raiders probably saw the writing on the wall and played the game to make sure they could get guaranteed money, remove a cancer etc.

Patriots will benefit because here comes another prime vet without a Super Bowl ring That should be able to conform long enough to take a shot at getting one.

Rosenhaus scam.  He gets all these diva WRs acting a fool.
