redsbengalsbucks 91 Report post Posted April 27 RB Rodney Anderson
redsbengalsbucks 91 Report post Posted April 27 Another late round steal, this kid has tremendous potential that never got to see much time due to three random injuries. Hopefully not the next IR resident.
kingwilly 147 Report post Posted April 28 I like the risk. Hopefully stays healthy.
cincyhokie 180 Report post Posted April 28 I have no idea if he is healthy enough to play in 2019. Might end up on IR. But if/when he plays, he obviously a top tier talent at RB. No stretching there. He's really really good.
redsbengalsbucks 91 Report post Posted April 28 I love this pick, if he can stay healthy he could be #2maybe even 1B on the RB chart. I say this and I have always like GIO!
cincyhokie 180 Report post Posted April 29 Ran for 202 yards and 2 TDs in the semi-final game against Georgia in 2017. Killed it that game.
ArmyBengal 457 Report post Posted April 29 Don't know much about this kid and initially I didn't think much of the pick. However, in only watching the above clip, he appears to hit the hole hard and is smart with blockers in front of him. The most impressive thing about the clip is his yards after contact. I'd be interested to see what that looked like on a whole season. That really stood out in the clip.
COB 584 Report post Posted April 29 Surely they are thinking of using him on special teams. At Oklahoma he might have been a bit too high on the depth chart to see teams, so his ability there will have to be projected or guessed at.

I think he will see the field as a receiving RB that can also line up in the slot, he has really good hands. He may take snaps from GIO, if he stays healthy. I see a platoon of four very good RB's, keeping everybody fresh. It may be that Williams is not active in certain games and Anderson in others, depending on the type of defense they are playing. I also see them keeping 1 less WR to make room for all 4 of these guys,.
TJJackson 221 Report post Posted April 29 Is one more of an inside guy and the other more of an outside guy?
redsbengalsbucks 91 Report post Posted April 29 Not really the running style, but Anderson is a WR/RB type player and Williams is not. neither look to be a bruiser type back. the talent level for all 4 of them to me seems really close, all could be a #1 if needed
ShulaSteakhouse 188 Report post Posted May 8 6'0" 225 and did 25 bench reps at the combine, saw him running over plenty of people in his film. No idea what his status is since the UCLA game injury. Maybe he turns into a Gurley for them in a couple years, but history says he'll end-up more like Ki-Jana Carter.
AMPHAR 268 Report post Posted August 8 Just passed physical and got activated. Not sure when he practices. If he’s the steal we’d hoped on draft day there’s a slim chance he remains on practice squad. Could he bump Gio?
HoosierCat 404 Report post Posted August 8 As long as he gets out of preseason healthy, that’s all you can ask for. Pushing a vet is a plus. If any of the picks can step up, great, it looks like the team will need it.
ShulaSteakhouse 188 Report post Posted August 9 If he's ready to go, we're probably looking at this year's preseason shiny thing. If he stays healthy, I can see him making the roster. He's not PS talent, someone will claim him if he's healthy and has a good preseason.
cincy9275 19 Report post Posted August 25 he looked pretty good for a guy that had 2 weeks of practice. would have been nice if the o-line could have opened up some running lanes for him.
AMPHAR 268 Report post Posted August 30 Bad news is looming. Bengals.com hinting he may have torn the ACL again last night. Just got to feel for the kid at this point. I hope that’s not the case.
ArmyBengal 457 Report post Posted August 30 Sucks for him for sure. His injury history is just ridiculous.
GapControl 59 Report post Posted August 31 I figure he doesn’t ever play again after this one
