I hardly think of Marvin anymore.  He’s barely relevant.  That’ll change when games start.

And the draft - one silver lining for me is the buckeye connection.  Two OSU players in the firat 4 picks.  That’s enough to keep me interested for a while.

well, if you dont want to get political, it would probably be best to not claim that Obama is worse than the obvious worst - racist, sexist, bullying, lying, philandering, non-diplomatic, unrealistic, egomaniacal, and (very possibly) treasonous (for starters) - American president of all time. A man who claims that he'd date his own daughter, that Mexico would pay for a multi-billion-dollar-wall that they had no desire to see erected, and also that as long as youre rich or famous its perfectly ok to grope a woman's genitals whether they are willing to be groped or not.

This disgusting embarrassment cant be impeached soon enough.

Wow lighten up HOF

My opinion differs from yours, not a big deal for me.  Obama is my worst president ever.  Sorry that bothers you so much.  I bet Jimmy Carter is really happy though, he gets bumped to second worst.

This is what happens when you are crazy rich and get caught banging porn stars and having them pee on you while married to the current First Lady (fixed it for ya, Army)

Hubbard is a motor guy.  He won't be the one getting outworked.  Typically guys like that don't bust out.
Knowing there's going to be some competition for the other starting DE spot, I expect that battle to be a good one.
I also expect Hubbard to be right in the mix for a backup spot though.

Sure, anything is possible, but he wouldn't be at the top of that prediction list for me.

Calling it now - Sam Hubbard will be a bust.

Just because? he's a 3rd round pick, how much can he bust?

well, I dont consider the round.

Bust is bust for me, though yeah, I concede that if a 1st rounder busts thats a bigger deal for a team, financially in particular, than if a r7 player busts

So I'll add that I think Auden Tate will bust as well

You're losing me TJ. Unless Hubbard somehow doesn't make this team out of camp, I don't get calling bust. And the 11th of 11 draft picks not making the team means he's busted? I mean, isn't the default setting for 7th round picks to NOT make the team (for pretty much all teams)?

Put differently, there is NO way that all 11 picks makes the 53-man squad. Simply no way. Unless one of the cuts is to the guys taken in the first four rounds, not sure I get the premise of your thought when we are just now getting OTAs...

Considering that there is word that MJ could lose his job to Willis, they have Lawson who is also a DE regardless of how they carry him, and they brought in Chris Baker, there will be much competition for those spots. There’s no way Hubbard doesn’t make this team.

Funny because I was looking at Tate today and as much as I like his size and red zone abilities, he doesn’t make the team minus an injury.  Green, Ross, Boyd are locks. I would be shocked if Erickson isn’t a lock as well. Then you still have LaFell (who could be cut) Malone and Core. That’s 7 already and no one should count on them keeping that many.

Here’s how I see it:

Price, Bates, Hubbard, Jefferson, Walton and Phillips make the team. Everyone else to the practice squad unless injuries happen.

Then again I could be wrong. Who knows ??

I agree that Ross is a lock, but I'm not sure he should be.

Yeah, his draft position will make him a lock for the coming seasons.  This season is going to be make or break for Ross.
I'm at least hoping we see his work in the offseason translate on the field.  That pick and adding that speed (right or wrong) intrigued me greatly.
I thought having AJ, Ross, Boyd and Malone as a 1-4 would open all sorts of opportunities in the passing game.
The 2017 o-line was never going to see that come to fruition.

Adding a heal....  a health.....  adding a healthy Eifert (boy that took some effort) only adds more pressure to opposing defenses.
Much like last year though, this offense is only going as far as the revamped o-line allows.

Yes, he should. You don't begin to think about cutting someone with his speed. He gets every opportunity to make a difference. He was hurt last year, now is he not (at this point). He actually took reps yesterday in practice, something that apparently barely happened last year. He's not going anywhere. You cutting him to make room for Auden Tate and his 4.68 40?

Hearing all the right things about Ross at this point - healthy, restored confidence, impressing in OTAs.

This is how last year should have (in a perfect world) gone for him. Looking forward to seeing what he can do on the field. Heck, his reverse was - until the fumble, of course - pretty damn impressive, actually

None other than AJ Green is singing Ross’ praises this year.  He’s pretty reticent most of the time, which in my mind lends even more credence to the good things he’s saying about Ross.

I also like the fact that Ross has apparently spent a good amount of the off season working with Housh.
For as pissed off as I was with Marvin coming back, I'm at least back to being intrigued about the 2018 Bengals.

Said it before and will say it again.  It's all on the o-line...
