-- Pryor is rusty but they love his attitude.

-- Shaw is already impressing.

-- Alford is already pushing for a roster spot.

-- Dawson is now "PJ".

-- Fisher getting looks at all five OL spots.

I think Pryor is here because he can't possibly sucks balls more than Josh Johnson and we need a #3 QB.

If anything else good comes from him being a part of this team then that's a bonus.

I always liked Pryor when he was at Ohio St. but never thought he would do much at the next level.

Always hoping for good things.

Having watched Alford at WVU his biggest problem will be "processing information". I think that's why he dropped to the 7th round. He also struggled catching punts - that's why he didn't. No problem catching kickoffs though. He can run like the wind however.

Having been a WVU and Bengals fan since, well forever. I've always been lucky in that the Bengals always seem to have one or two Mountaineers on the roster. I think there are three currently, unless I'm forgetting someone.

Welcome to the board clueless !!!

I always thought Alford was projected as a late round guy due to his size.

He had great production at WVU and his speed is undeniable.

It appears they have been giving him all kinds of time during rookie camp and had him practicing with catching punts as well.

THAT is the area I want to see him excel in to spell the end of Tate with the Bengals.

Pryor hopefully has learned from his mistakes and will focus on being a great QB.

I always viewed him as that really athletic QB that was able to simply outperform guys at the college level.

He was always very immature while at Ohio St. and that athleticism evens out at the pro level.

Still hopeful to see him success and don't wish him ill by any stretch, but I don't see him as much more than a #3 here.

What I'm afraid of is that it will just show us what is already widely believed: that both Alexander and Hayes are worthless.

That said I have to think that they're overdue for a break at TE. They've now spent five mid- to high-round picks on TEs since 2009. Someone has to break through eventually, right?

If the NFL modifies the extra point, making the odds of going for 2 better than going for 1, then Pryor would probably make a very good 2 point specialist. I'm sure you've read the rumors that that is why Tebow was signed by Philly.

I think Pryor would still have to beat out McCarron for the #2 spot on the roster and I don't see that happening at this point in time.

Minus him taking the #2 spot on the depth chart, I can't see them having 3 active QB's on game day to carry a 2 point specialist.

Don't get me wrong, he could beat out McCarron and they could carry 3 QB's, but I don't view either as very likely.

Like I said, I hope for good things from him, but not thinking they get much production minus something bad happening.

I wish I had some idea of what we've got in McCarron. At least this year we should get a look at him in preseason.

It's difficult to see the Bengals opting to chuck him overboard with so little opportunity, and I agree they're not likely to carry 3 QBs on the active roster. I suppose that if Pryor impresses they might risk putting AJ on waivers and try to sneak him through to the taxi squad, but for that to happen Terell would IMO have to absolutely blow them away.

Re the extra point, I still say all the proposed tweaks are solutions in search of a problem. So what if extra points are nearly automatic? The center-QB exchange is almost automatic, too, but no one is arguing the QB should have to line up 30 yards behind the line to make the snap more exciting. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I'm right there with you in regard to trying to fix something that isn't broken.

Not exciting enough ?? Whatever. How much time is spent out of the 4 quarters to watch something so uninspiring ??

You know what's boring in football ?? There's no explosions. Yeah, that's what the game needs, explosions.

Maybe dinosaurs too. Find some of that DNA amber shit from the movie and get some damn dinosaurs on the field.

Velociraptors running ape shit on the field eating players would add an extra bit of fun to the game.

I mean I want to be entertained when spending my time and money to watch this boring ass game.

You know what would be awesome ??

Seeing Mike Brown drive the Lumina onto the field, ramp over 6 buses that explode as he goes over, only to be grabbed in mid air by a pterodactyl who then drops the Lumina into the Ohio River and the car explodes on impact with the water. Of course Mikey would have jumped from the car and parachuted back into the stadium with a huge American Flag waving brilliantly. When he touches down on the field ?? Yep, you guessed it, more explosions !!!

Fuck the extra point being more exciting, I want to see that !!!

 Sheer genius, Army. I'd pay money to see that.
