And It Just Gets Better for Browns Fans

I would consider all of them:

Stab someone while smoking a joint and punching your wife.

If that happens as an ambush after they leave a casino, then you are just showing off.

And if you get busted for DUI on the way home you're being a total drama queen.

Update on Gordon, he is suspended 10 games so we will only see him once.

my guess would be he screws that up before the next 9 games are done

Very likely. Gordon has a massive drug and alcohol problem. Is like to see him get better, right after he can't play in either of our games.

Turns out the Browns may not even need Gordon. They got some other guy making clutch catches to set up winning scores who's on pace for 1,200+ yards receiving. His name's Dawkins or Mawkins or Fawkins, something like that, I forget...

I'm happy for Hawkins to this point and wish him nothing but the best up there, except when they play us.

He would have been at least the #4 WR here and shouldn't have paid him what he got in Cleveland.

The difference is that they aren't using him as the #4 WR up there and can now justify that number.

I don't think they could really justify it before outside of saying, "We have a sh*tload of cash and can hurt the Bengals".

Still, good luck to Hawkins.

You know, I have to hand it to Johnny Football. I've never, ever seen a single player so quickly implode and take the team down with him. This guy was born to run the Factory of Sadness.

This just in from the Factory of Sadness: Shanny Jr. quits as OC.

Why? Well, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, it's because of "friction" between coaches and the personnel guys, which apparently got bad enough that the personnel guys were testing coaches about playcalling during games.

Cleveland: setting a new standard for dumpster fires every day!

The sad part about it keeps getting worse for the Browns is that this thread was started over a year ago and is still going strong.

Honestly though, this thread could still be going from the time they got another team back up there.

I'm back to feeling bad for Browns fans. Something tells me that won't last long though.

It's just unreal how much of a crapheap that organization has been.

Since coming back into the league in 1999, they've had 2 (TWO) winning seasons and a wild card appearance in one of those.

It's hard to believe that when I think about how bad the 90's were for us, that the Browns make that pale in comparison.

I feel for their fans in that regard. I really do. That's an epic level of suck to have to deal with.

Oh holy hell. Enough with the Browns already:

Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com reports that multiple league sources say a suspension, a draft pick forfeiture and a fine are all on the table as the NFL investigates whether team executives texted the coaching staff during games to suggest play calls. That would be a violation of league rules, which limit the types of electronic communications that players, coaches and other team officials can use during games.

And in a surprise to absolutely no one, "Draft Day" fizzled at the box office last weekend, failing to break the $10 million mark. I've been enjoying the weekend-long effort to turn this turkey into a winner on rottentomatoes.com. When the first couple dozen reviews went up its score was below 50%, a.k.a. rotten. But all weekend long they have scrambled to plug in positive reviews to push it over the 60% "fresh" mark, which they just barely managed to do. Last time I saw such blatant manipulation was for "The Phantom Menace."

Funny how I stumbled into this, but almost a year later, I actually watched this movie (Hey, I couldn't get back to sleep in the middle of the night).

While I was thinking it would be interesting in seeing a football movie from this perspective, it wasn't.

It was the most absurd situation I think I could come up with when depicting what happens on draft day for NFL teams.

If you want to really watch this movie on a night YOU can't sleep, read no further.

Bonehead GM desperate to make a move and pressured by the owner, trades away 3 first round picks to move up from #7 to #1.

He does this without speaking to anyone. Not the owner, coach, salary cap people, NO ONE.

After doing so, THEN he wants his people to start doing research on the QB they anticipate taking.

When they find out he's not what they thought he was, thanks to another college player that seemingly knows more than any pro scout, they take that college player they could have had at #7 with the first overall pick.

Then in an amazing move, they find a first year GM willing to trade the #6 overall pick to them (one pick in front of the team he traded the 3 future first rounders to) for 3 future 2nd round picks. So at this point in time, he's traded away the team's first and second round picks for the next 3 years and took a player first overall they could have had later.

Now the big move, he convinces the team he traded his 3 first rounders to that he's going to take the player they want at #6 unless they give him back those 3 first round picks AND a return guy. GET THIS, they make the trade and Kevin Costner is the hero.

The above doesn't even take into account the coach Dennis Leary and the bullshit he's trying to pull, the attorney he's dating and gets knocked up, living in the shadow of his dead father who was an awesome coach, or the other unbelievable crap that occurs like a mother that wants to spread the ashes of his dead father 2 hours before the start of the draft.

While it certainly was an amusing flick for a while when I couldn't get to sleep, it was complete Hollywood bullshit.

I wasn't expecting a true story, but realistic could have at least been thrown into the mix.

Guess who was holding the #1 overall pick ?? Obviously Seattle. Dumb.

Making matters worse was the fact all this nonsense was centered around the freakin' Browns.

They couldn't even catch a break from Hollywood.

So the Browns trade away three second round picks to get back three first round picks they traded away for no reason?

Well, I suppose it's better than drafting a drunken cokehead in the first round...

It was just bizarre. It was the Jags and their "rookie" GM that they talked into this deal.

They made this guy out to be one of the dumbest people on the face of the earth, incapable of thinking for himself.

Almost like he was thanking the Browns for taking his first round pick. Just unrealistic.

Maybe that was my fault in thinking it was going to at least resemble something that "could" feasibly happen.

Silly me.

I still can't get over the fact that the Browns put so much time and money into doing research about which QB had more probability of being the better pro QB and when that showed Teddy Bridgewater, they promptly passed on him (he was available) and took Manziel. If you aren't going to trust your own research, then why bother ??

Silly Browns.

It seems that Brian Hoyer is disinclined to sign up for another shift in the Factory of Sadness.

So I guess that puts Johnny Fking Rehab on the spot. Though I have seen some speculation/rumors floating around that the Clowns may try to move up and get Mariota.
