Then Interception happens and people call for his head,I do wonder if it's andys choice not throw deep or if Coach's aren't calling for it as often. I for one wouldn't mind if he took more risk's purely because with how our defense has been playing.

I'm suspicious that you may have just gotten COB-punked, Kaz

Wouldn't be first time ;)/> or the last time :D/>,Doesn't change how feel though

Dalton:

You could conceivably argue that the league has figured Dalton out after the 1st half of 2011.

Only 3 games out of last 11 where he didn't throw an INT, and in one of those 3 games he had 2 fumbles lost.

He averages 223 yards a game for his career, not a 300 yard game since game 6 of last season.

His turnovers have gone up consistently since the last half of 2011.

His YPC is up this season, which is good, but he needs to play like he did, or better, against GB and NE, every week, if they want to fulfill potential. Too good of a team to be let-down again by a guy who cannot throw downfield (low YPC). If you can't do that consistently, then you can't come back from turnovers in the NFL.

Maybe he's pressing to get better and he'll figure it out still (i.e stop forcing it to one guy and take what the defense gives you, and let the running game/defense win games). I hope so.

Gruden has to call better games too, his offense has been fairly lackluster over-all, since he got here.

Well, at the moment it sure isn't.
He's been terrible to this point.
Many say he's lucky to have 2 Super Bowl rings, but the fact of the matter is:
He has two Super Bowl rings.

If Dalton had the 2005 o-line he would be espn jesus right now.

(Of course if Thad Lewis had that line people would be calling him the next Brady.)

Alex Smith goes out today and manages the game to get the Chiefs to a win and 6-0 on the season.
14 of 31 with no TD's or INT's and a QB rating of 56.9.

Dalton goes out and goes 26 of 40 with 3 TD's and an INT with a QB rating of 105.9.

If Dalton were to win a game with those stats, even if they were 6-0, he would get crucified.

Yet another example of the truth: football is a team game.

Andy Dalton isn't holding back the Bengals. The Bengals are holding back the Bengals. The question is whether they can put it all together in time.

I mean, Andy completed 9 passes behind the line of scrimmage for 151 yards. He also had 249 YAC from his receivers. He definitely didn't play as bad as he had been, but he wasn't amazing as the numbers indicate either. Finally a gameplan that worked to his strengths.

Holy s**t. He's right but it's you don't usually hear a coach do this. Palmer would have pick sixed his way to a capital L.

You know, what exactly is a QB worth these days? I don't think we'd get much argument around here that Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady and (it pains me to say it) Ben Rothlisberger are franchise QBs while Andy Dalton is not. Neither are Brian Hoyer or Thad Lewis yet we won the three games aforementioned, lost to Hoyer and played Lewis to a draw. I think we're learning that a QB is not worth much more than other things like turnovers, good line play etc. The only exception to this is Peyton.
