derekshank Posted April 27, 2012 Report Share Posted April 27, 2012 I don't like the idea of Alshon Jeffery because he is generally described as a poor route runner with ethics, maturity, and conditioning issuesMost of that is bulls**t.Yes he played 15 pounds heavier than his best playing weight last year... but that's not the same thing as "ethics, maturity, and conditioning issues" that you're talking about.He has never been arrested like Dre Kirkpatrick... or Blackmon or Floyd for that matter. He doesn't have multiple kids like Janoris Jenkins or Trent Richardson. Playing 15 pounds heavy is a pretty correctable problem... and one that he showed he is willing to correct at the combine. As for the route running issues, he's not a poor route runner. He just didn't have a very developed playbook at South Carolina. Same with Stephen Hill at Georgia Tech. That doesn't mean they can't... it just means they weren't asked to.Jeffery is the best WR left in the draft, and in my opinion will be the best pro of the entire class.
