Anyway around, they pick where they play. Would you pick Cincinnati unless you had no other option ??

As much as I love it here, I probably wouldn't.

This exact thought has been nagging at me in regards to the Jonathon Joseph situation. Just a feeling, but I feel like he's not going to sign with the Bengals. He's got options, and the way things sit right now with this franchise, the situation just lends itself to Joseph walking out of here. He's unrestricted, correct? The Bengals don't have the right to match any offer and keep him, if I understand his status correctly.

JJoe has to be the priority hands down and I don't really think there is a close second.

However:

RB- Benson has issues and if Dalton is starting, they need some veteran presence at that position.

Guard- Bobbie is older and in his last year. Boling is a rookie and the rest suck monkey balls.

Backup QB- I hope Jordan gets cut. No one looking to be the starter will come here. Think Gradkowski as best option.

Safety- Are the hopes and dreams of the position pinned on Reggie Nelson ??

Madieu, anyone?

Also: Arizona kicker Thomas Weber.

Very well.

Let the permanent record now show that on this date and on this hour I am officially off the Mike Nugent bandwagon/ambulance and have now planted my flag on yonder hill while loudly declaring my undying manlove for whoever the f**k Thomas Weber might be.

Furthermore, due to the competiton Nugent will now have for the PK job I'm now reducing this seasons projected over/under for the total number of Mike Nugent's leg related injuries from five to three.

Please adjust your scorecards.

Please no.

He underachieved here.

The Vikings overpayed him to underachieve there.

No reason to bring him back to simply underachieve at a lower rate.

Good guy, but no real plus for our safety woes.

True story. Last season I was in a bar watching a game with some friends when I hear announcer Matt Millen loudly screaming about the last play and how the safety responsible for giving up a TD had taken...."the worst tackling angle I've ever seen in my life."

Guess who?

More UDFAs passed along by CJ:

Dalton may get a favorite target back in former TCU WR Bart Johnson.

Also, another o-lineman, Louisville G Mark Wetterer.

Brian Lainhart, S, Kent State

DeQuin Evans, DE, UK

Thomas Weber, K, Arizona

The bengals better make a move Jjoe ASAP if they want to keep him. Guys are flying off the market in a hurry here, so lets hope they get something done. If they can that will make it a happy night for me, they cant wait forever!

It's the Bengals, they will wait around, wait for something to fall into their laps, or wait for another team to set the market price. It's what they always do, why expect anything else? They...do...not...change...ever.

Another RB from UMass:

Also per CJ they got some DE from Baldwin-Wallace

Running list:

Brian Lainhart, S, Kent State

DeQuin Evans, DE, UK

Thomas Weber, K, Arizona

Matt O'Donnell, OL, CFL

Chris Riley, OL, Illinois State

Bart Johnson, WR, TCU

Mark Wetterer, G, Louisville

Colin Cochart, TE, South Dakota State

Stephen Franklin, LB, Southern Illinois

Jonathan Williams, RB, ECU

John Griffin, RB, UMass

Keith Darbut, DE, Baldwin-Wallace

That's 12 -- didn't Marvin say they'd signed 12?

Edited to add: and one more, Northern Illinois Wide Receiver Landon Cox.

Per a tweet from Hobson, current Bengals FA who the team has been in touch with as top priorities are:

Joseph

Brandon Johnson

Fanene

No Benson...hmmmmm.

No rush. Not like he's going to have the phone ringing off the hook at this point.

Robert Gallery anyone?

This little bit from Profootball talk.

In other offensive line news, Cole writes that Tyson Clabo is “close” to returning to Atlanta. The Bengals and Seahawks are reportedly both bidding for guard Robert Gallery.
