UNTAMED's Mock

Ok, let me start off by saying I believe we end up with a 3rd and 5th complementary pick (TJ and S. Andrews). And that this is obviously a "dream draft" so please, do not bash me. :)

1. Taylor Mays - S - USC

I don't see 3 safeties getting drafted before #21 (Eric Berry, Earl Thomas & Mays). I'd be a little worried about this kid though. He is not that good of a coverage safety at all.

2. Marshawn Gilyard - WR - Cincinnati

Mardy would give us an instant boost in the return game. And take over the slot (depending on what happens to Coles).

3. George Selvie - DE - USF

Selvie has been dropping pretty far on all mocks I've seen so far. But this would be pretty freak'n awesome to grab him here. But best of all, Selvie would bring great depth to the D-Line.

3b. Jon Asamoah - OG - Illinois

Need a future replacement for #63.

4. Syd'Quan Thompson - CB - California

Need someone to replace Trent at the Nickle spot.

5. Stanley Havili - FB - USC

Best FB coming into the draft. JJ's contract has expired but he'll probably end up re-signing.

5b. Aaron Pettrey - K - Ohio St.

Let me start off by saying, GOOD BYE GRAHM! And I'm not sure who the best kicker is coming into the draft but Aaron is ranked at the top of most kicker rankings.

6. Ricardo Mathews - DT - Cincinnati

Ricardo has 36 tackles, 9.5 TFL and 3.5 sacks in 2009. Could be a sleeper...

7. Brandon James - RB - Florida

Mainly a return specialist at Florida. Great speed.

I assume you mean Mardy Gilyard at #2. I think Marshawn was drafted a few years ago.

I just love seeing the mock drafts already. I like Gilyard, but don't know if he fits with what this offense needs and seems more of a slot guy as opposed to a #2. Selvie seemed to KILL himself going back last year and appears to be a fairly big risk. Outside of that, I like taking a kicker !!!

With there being a handful of different ways to go this coming draft for the Bengals, I'm going to do something a little different this year.

More to follow.

I'm bored... You know, Bengals being eliminated and all... :sadwalk:

Oh, I'm right there with you and I'd rather be watching the Bengals this weekend, but it is what it is...

Nice Thing is he won't be rushed so Coyle can work his magic with him,I just don't think we get a crack at Mays my money is Seahawks draft him with their 2nd First.

2. Marshawn Gilyard - WR - Cincinnati

Returner alone I like the Pick, hopefully Brat would find ways to work him in the offense.

Love it alot people seem be ignoring Defensive End as a need for us,Our Pass rush was good but not that special we need someone who can come in with MJ on Passing downs...

3b. Jon Asamoah - OG - Illinois

Works for me,Can resign bobbie for 1-2 years well he develops.

4. Syd'Quan Thompson - CB - California

5. Stanley Havili - FB - USC

Best FB coming into the draft. JJ's contract has expired but he'll probably end up re-signing.

I think JJ they'll keep him to short deals to make sure he doesn't get to comfertable,On top his job isn't safe they did keep FUI on the active Roster rather then risk losing him...Makes me beleive Anderson wanted a year to couch him up and have him ready.

5b. Aaron Pettrey - K - Ohio St.

Let me start off by saying, GOOD BYE GRAHM! And I'm not sure who the best kicker is coming into the draft but Aaron is ranked at the top of most kicker rankings.

Cool with me,Not a fan of looking at undrafted Kickers I think you go for the guy you want in the

draft ..

6. Ricardo Mathews - DT - Cincinnati

Ricardo has 36 tackles, 9.5 TFL and 3.5 sacks in 2009. Could be a sleeper...

Tough wouldn't hurt to spend a 6th on a guy who you may strike gold with but may not...But Unless it's a big talent guy I don't see DT catching on More then likely Peko,Sim,Tank & Fanene will be our DT's going in to next season unless we find a guy then Fanene can earn his keep at End which would mean someone has to go...

7. Brandon James - RB - Florida

Mainly a return specialist at Florida. Great speed.
