The 2009 NFL schedules unveiled tonight (Bengals will make playoffs — guaranteed)

CHICKSTER SPINS CRYSTAL BALL,

SEES 10 WINS FOR ‘09 BENGALS

IF PALMER CAN STAY UPRIGHT

Ready for some football?

Of course you are.

The NFL regular-season schedules get unveiled by the league tonight at 7 with tons of fanfare planned on NFL Network, NFL.com, ESPN and media outlets across the globe.

I’ll blog the Cincinnati Bengals 2009 schedule right here on “Ludwig At Large” as soon as I possibly can once I get my grubby paws on it.

We know the preseason schedule. Three Thursday nights and a Friday night.

• Friday, Aug 14, at New Orleans, 8 p.m.

• Thursday, Aug. 20, at New England, 7:30 p.m.

• Thursday, Aug. 27, ST. LOUIS, 7:30 p.m.

• Thursday, Sept. 3, INDIANAPOLIS, 7:30 p.m.

We also know the Bengals regular-season opponents …

Home: Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers, Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Houston Texans.

Away: Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers, Oakland Raiders, San Diego Chargers, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, New York Jets.

I see a sweep of the lowly Cleveland Browns, a split with Baltimore and Pittsburgh, and victories over Denver, KC, Chicago, Detroit, Houston and Oakland.

And losses to San Diego, Green Bay, Minnesota and the New York Jets.

Ten and six plus a Wildcard playoff berth.

You heard it here first.

I could see 10 wins...I could see 4wins let's hope it's the first one...

I'll split the difference and say either 8-8 or 7-9, but it's still very early. It all depends on if Carson can bounce back to his form from a few seasons ago and stay healthy. I think the defense will continue to improve, which should help us stay in some games with a younger, rebuilding offense for the first time in a while.
