4.3 mil.

Recommended Posts

Thats the cap hit the Bengals would take on trading Chad Johnson..

It wont happen so he stays a Bengal come rain or whiney cryin on he and his evil agents part.

Now TJ is in the last year of his contract....trade value will never be higher..NO cap hit.

Possesion receivers are easier to replace...

Lots of very good recievers in the first four rounds this year..

Just thinkin out loud..

Uhhh.....just thinking out loud here but if the team that trades for him picks up his contract wouldn't we not take a cap hit?

Cap hit is from his bonus money.

they would pick up his salary.. there are no bonus left on his contract... the team would actually save 1.4 mil dollars but have to pickup the player's salary they traded for.

some teams cant trade players we'd like to see come herer for the same reason Chad cant be traded

Cap hit would kill them..

Chad's is 4.3 hit if Bengals let him go.. that ainnt happenin!

thats actually an interesting thought. I would hate to see either go but i guess that shows that TJ has the same chance of going as chad does if its about trade value.

Ok, I see the logic. I just think that there are some teams that would take the "cap hit" if they traded for Chad and say gave up a first round draft pick. By giving up the 1st round pick that would be big bucks they would save by not paying for that pick.

It makes sense to me, but then again I really don't understand the capology aspect of the NFL.

Chad isn't going anywhere! TJ isn't going anywhere. Marvin isn't going anywhere! Justin Smith isn't going anywhere! Palmer isn't going anywhere! Shayne Graham isn't going anywhere. Are you getting the point yet? Tracking like an eight track? We on the same sheet of music? Focus is def, not breaking up our offense. GGEEEeeeeeeezzzzzzzz

Chad? From what I heard Chad say, HE is the one that doesn't want to be here.

TJ is not leaving, nor is Marvin. Justin? Gone. Palmer and Graham are no doubters to stay .

Tracking like an eight track? Mike Brown is. I bet he still has his eight track player. I see what you are saying but something has to change on the offense and it's lack of direction and focus. Chad has the talent but I don't think he has the capability to focus on the team, it's more about him.

Bengals will have something on the order of $30m in cap space. Chad's cap hit isn't the issue.

Hate to sound like a broken record, but what I think needs to change on the offense is the running game. The announcers made an interesting comment on the Colt's ground game today. They remarked about drafting Marshall Faulk, only to trade him so they could draft Edgerrin James, only to let him go so they could draft Joseph Addai. I think that's where the Bengals need to be looking. Restock every four to five years with good, fresh legs. Granted, we've tried with the Chris Perry and Kenny Irons fiascos. Cut Rudi Johnson and DeDe Dorsey and look for the next number one guy. Neither Irons nor Perry are it due to health issues.

Give Irons at least a chance. Another thing the Colts have over the Bengals is a consistent run blocking O-line. I think that needs to be the priority before we go find the next Rudi. Reinforce the line.

Hate to sound like a broken record, but I posted this message thrice because I think what I'm saying really needs to be heard. I think needs to change on the offense is the running game. nah, I'm kidding.....I think.

But why would you want to cut Dorsey? At the very least, he's a good special teams player. I think he's proven he can be effective in spot duty.

The only person I see leaving now is Justin. Chad will probably run out his contract but we will immediately sign back TJ. Carson wont leave, hopefully.

Housh, not Chad, is the best WR on this team. You can't trade Carson's favorite target - the one with the most reliable hands in important situations, and expect to make the team better. He might not have the star power that Chad demands because of his constant talking and bitching, but he is the better football player. If they considered trading him, I'd consider not giving the Bengals any more of my money.
