  2. AFC Championship Weekend: Bengals @ Chiefs

Yeah. This isn’t going to be a very productive work week. I have already you tubed the Bengals Respect song from 1988. Just not going to get a whole lot done except dream about a Superbowl
  3. AFC Championship Weekend: Bengals @ Chiefs

It’s going to be Bengals vs some team from Cali.
  4. AFC Championship Weekend: Bengals @ Chiefs

I always felts Colts were the best team that year. I do feel the Steelers stole or got lucky that playoff game vs Bengals.
  5. AFC Championship Weekend: Bengals @ Chiefs

The answer is NO. Besides Slater was the better OT prospect.
  6. AFC Championship Weekend: Bengals @ Chiefs

1 game to the Super Bowl. It’s truly unbelievable after everything since Joe Montana stole 23 from us. Who Dey!
  7. Divisional Weekend: Bengals @ Oilers

    Who Dey! My brothers
  8. General AFC North thread

Bart Scott is dumb….none of those Raven or D coaches are going to be around to revenge the supposed running up the score
  9. Divisional Weekend: Bengals @ Oilers

Zac and Lou know Tannehill is afraid of clowns. So expect the Bengals to be introduced pre game via a small car driving out and them all jumping out of it with big red shoes on.
  10. Divisional Weekend: Bengals @ Oilers

I'm wondering if the Bengals could get 10,000 plus in the stadium tomorrow? Seems possible. Nashville is a town people like and there are tickets available. In 2014 vs. Colts there were a ton of Bengal fans that made the trip. I would guess 10K+. Tickets were a lot cheaper though.
  11. Divisional Weekend: Bengals @ Oilers

kinda were I'm at with it. If you look at last year's game stat lines. The Titans got exactly what their optimum path for victory looks like minus 1 TO and 1 sack, I think. They got Henry over 100 yards. They got over 200 yards rushing. They got 7.5 yards a carry. Still found themselves down to a depleted Bengals team with Joe Burrow by 17 points in the 4th quarter. I think there is a good chance Henry kicks our ass tomorrow. If Joe Burrow is Joe Burrow it doesn't matter you are getting the L. Just like up in Denver. Broncos had a wonderful Defense effort. Bam a couple brilliant throws and couple key scrambles and so sorry but you are getting the "L". That would have happened to SF if it weren't for Special teams errors.

A lot of talk on Titans boards and other places about SOS. I can not stress enough about how unimportant that conversation is. NFL is a closed looped system. All 32 teams pick from the same pool of players all play each other. It eliminates the point of SOS that you see in college athletics. A deeper dive shows from 2019 til today the Titans have played 7 games against AFC North opponents. That includes playoffs. They are 2-5. Their impressive W/L record and playoff qualifications have not come at the expense of beating AFC North teams, it comes from other opponents. Also last year the Bengal played the Titans and had a 17 point lead in the 4th quarter and this important.... the bengals DID NOT shut down Henry or the Titans offense to do it. They rushed for over 200 yards and 7.5 average the offense in total went for 414 yards. The difference in the game was Joe Burrow being Joe Burrow and our skill guys just running all over them. I think they cut J. Joe shortly afterward. Gio had a good game (wish we had him still) and there was no Mixon. Also this was a game we had wholesale line changes the week leading up to the game and gave 0 sacks (Burrow worked some magic to make that stat line happen though). The Titans are tough opponent have several realistic keys to victory and are a deserving favorite. Joe Burrow gets it going it may not matter. Henry had a very good game last year against a bad Bengals D. 17 points down in the 4th.
  13. Wild Card Weekend: Raiders @ Bengals

Absolutely! There are a lot of mouths to feed and talent to justify it but you don't hear a lot of complaints. Chase, Higgins, Boyd, Mixon, and CJ all have big play talent and could demand the ball but they don't. They make plays when called upon. I expect/hope Higgins to feast this week being from Tenn and the lack of targets last week.

I would love to dump Baltimore for Indy. Would add nice road trips for the whole division. Would have sucked during Peyton years.
  15. General AFC North thread

The Bengals just never really shook that 90s label. Like next year when they make the playoffs there will be some talking head spewing this isn't your "same ole Bengals". Bengals move slowly for change but they haven't been that lowly and hopeless for a long time. Literally anything positive that happens to the Bengals people start spouting off "This isn't the same Bengals". Eventually a micro phone will find its way to a former player talking about jock straps or something that happened 30 years ago. That's why it was funny to me when they trolled Joe Thomas about the cart. What decade is this?
  16. Divisional Weekend: Bengals @ Oilers

I think that's for show. If you buy off stub hub or another ticket site it don't matter. This really screws over their season ticket holders that may have bought extras hoping to make some money to cover some of their season costs. As a sidenote: Titans have the worse uniforms since their transition from the Oilers and the Oilers were one of the best, IMO.
  17. Wild Card Weekend: Raiders @ Bengals

Bengal fans have legitimate beef with the refs Joe Burrow was absolutely hit late on one of the mysterious TO plays. They claimed incidental contact. BS. There have been so many bad roughing the passer calls since they started focus its tough to say the one called on the Bengals was the worse but it was bad. IF they would have lost that game, that call would be the number 1 thing we'd be talking about. How the NFL can allow that kind of stuff without review is mind numbing. The whistle play had no bearing on the play it literally was right before the ball was caught. The DB was beat.
  18. Divisional Weekend: Bengals @ Oilers

Another thing that concerns me about this game is.... the Titans window is not going to stay open very long considering they are built around a RB vs. a franchise QB. Sense of urgency has to be high in that building. They caught the 1 seed in a parity year in the AFC. The South is not a strong QB division and you have to think that eventually changes.
  19. Divisional Weekend: Bengals @ Oilers

Hard for me to believe if the Titans are down by 2 scores or less that they aren't going to run Henry's wheels off. I don't expect a blow out so I'd expect a lot of Henry. There's no way, IMO, they are just giving him 10 touches.
  20. Divisional Weekend: Bengals @ Oilers

Even more impressive because they struggled on 3rd downs early in the year. Burrow and this offense has made steady progress towards being elite.
  21. Divisional Weekend: Bengals @ Oilers

Raiders didn’t really slow them down playing coverage and rushing four. Bengals did leave points on the field so that’s were you can point lack of run game. We’ll see.
  22. Divisional Weekend: Bengals @ Oilers

    Lol, Jackrabbit Jenkins
  23. Wild Card Weekend: Raiders @ Bengals

Watched the replay…. 1. Bengals left points on the field 2. Officiating was bad both ways. 3. Raiders are the best at calling TOs. Wiped out a pass deflection. 12 men on field penalty, roughing passer penalty and big pass play. Best use of TOs ever.
  24. IF the Bengals do make the Super Bowl they will put out a jersey with the logo. So if that tempts your fancy might want to wait. On a side note; I tried to get a Stocking cap for my nephew’s first game last Saturday morning; Bengal gear has been picked thin. 4 stores had 0 stocking caps. Another reason to delay a purchase if you can wait.
