  1. If you believe the article, the o-line is giving up MORE pressures this year, not less. But, Dalton is handling it better. Likely due to several factors: o-coordinator, qb coach, better weapons, etc. He's also been more willing to throw into tight windows. He's keeping his eyes up when he's pressured and looking for throws when he would give up on plays in previous years. I've never been a Dalton hater, but he's showing growth this year and the o-line isn't the reason why.
  2. Week 5 - Dolphins talk

A big part of their grading on RBs is pass blocking and yards after contact. Mixon only had one pass block attempt that game and he whiffed. He also doesn't tend to gain yards after contact...he gets hit and he falls. I'm still very happy to have him on the team...clearly :P
  3. Fantasy 2018

And I lost by less than a point. The fantasy gods are cruel.
  4. Other NFL games.

The Browns are a handful of plays away from being undefeated. They're no joke.
  5. Week 6 and 17- Steelers talk

I feel better about this game if we have John Ross back. Missing Ross and Eifert was not a small thing yesterday.
  6. Week 5 - Dolphins talk

The idea is that Uzomah/Kroft replacing Eifert is less about the #s and more about how Eifert demanded respect from the defense which opened plays up for Green, Boyd, etc. Uzomah and Kroft will get us by, but it's a downgrade however you look at it. Ross and Bernard have both been declared out for Sunday. We can still get the win, but we're going to need help from the defense. Hopefully, the scheme is good and Burfict makes a noticeable difference in his first game back.
  7. Week 5 - Dolphins talk

More concerned if Ross can't go. No Eifert and no Ross = guys like Cody Core getting playing time.
  8. Week 5 - Dolphins talk

The Bengals are the better team, but the Dolphins lead the league in interceptions and the d-line is their strength. So, it comes down to whether or not the Bengals can protect Dalton and avoid the big mistakes. I could easily imagine one of those games where one team is clearly better, but the score is close thanks to one or two major mistakes. A blowout sure would be nice, though. I can only take so many more "Cardiac Cat" moments.
  9. Week 4 - Falcons talk

You guys clearly haven't been paying attention to drafts in the Marvin era. They're going CB. Book it now.
  10. Week 5 - Dolphins talk

He's struggled with speed rushers this year and I've also heard rumors that he's not 100% healthy. Combined with 4th quarter fatigue...
  11. Week 4 - Falcons talk

Lap was saying that the Bengals are something crazy like 43-1-1 in the Dalton/Green era when putting up 25+ points.
  12. Week 5 - Dolphins talk

My only concern is an emotional/mental thing coming off the Falcons win. It's not unusual to see teams come out flat after wins like that.
  13. Other NFL games.

Either way, the Bengals week 2 win v. Baltimore is looking more impressive each week.
  14. Week 4 - Falcons talk

Yeah, everyone says that, and yet...we've never seen Mixon do this consistently. Everyone is making assumptions. No big deal, and I agree that the Mixon/Bernard combo is ideal. I simply question which of those two is truly 1A and 1B. As for Mixon having more "moves"....ehhhh, I'm not convinced:
  15. Week 4 - Falcons talk

Why do people assume Mixon is better than Bernard? The guy proves he's starting material every time he gets the opportunity. We're a better team with Mixon simply because Mixon/Bernard > Bernard/Walton. But, I don't feel like we took a huge step back the past two weeks.
  16. Week 4 - Falcons talk

Simply posting for referece: Team Stats Points Per Game 29.7 26.7 Points Allowed Per Game 25.7 28.3 Total Yards 378.3 396.3 Yards Passing 286.7 299.0 Yards Rushing 91.7 97.3 Yards Allowed 405.3 413.3 Pass Yards Allowed 281.7 287.7 Rush Yards Allowed 123.7 125.7
  17. Fantasy 2018

I had Cooper Kupp on the bench with 26 points. I started his teammate, Robert Woods, who got me 16. I never know which one to start week to week but, with the way the Rams are playing, maybe I should just start putting them both in my lineup
  18. Week 4 - Falcons talk

I'd flip that score, Army. Our defense struggles less with pocket QBs than they do big scrambler types like Cam. ASSUMING AJ plays, I think we put up 30+ again without any issues. I won't guarantee a win, but I think the matchup suits us better than Carolina.
  19. Week 3 - Panthers talk

Yes, but he's not being used. Played 1 snap in week one and 1 snap in week two.
  20. I've got some Dr. Dog going right now. I've seen them live several times, but the last time was in a tiny record shop where there were 30 of us stuffed in a small room. They didn't even have space for their entire setup. it was like hanging out in a living room...they were chatting with us, passing beers around the room, taking requests, etc. Pure awesomeness. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I_RvcS0PDoA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ojf0waAxpL0
  21. Mayfield - Browns made the right choice?

I'm disappointed the browns didn't botch it again by drafting Darnold or Rosen. I thought all along that Mayfield was the clear cut #1 and couldn't for the life of me figure out why the national talking heads were slobbering over Darnold and company. Darnold was an interception machine at USC...what makes people think that'll get better in the NFL?
  22. Her follow-up album to that was pretty good as well (Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie).
  23. Mayfield - Browns made the right choice?

Cheering for the Browns? I don't understand this. Our two annual freebies are gone. We didn't need the AFC North to be any more difficult than it already was.
  24. Fantasy 2018

Picked up Gio on waivers. My team is now unstoppable.
  25. Final Roster Discussion

I think the guys they are looking at are injury insurance players who they want to be aware of to sign later in case someone goes down. They already have guys like Fisher and Westerman to fill in on the o-line if needed, so they must be more comfortable there.
