IMO,  Slater/Sewell + Marshall beats Chase and whatever OL.

I doubt Marshall makes it to 38.

My indicators for grading this draft.

    1. If the Bengals draft Chase or Pitts.  If Sewell goes at 6 or 7.  They may have messed up.  The further Sewell drops IF the Bengals pass on him that justifies his actual standing.  At least in my mind.

    2. If Bengals go Chase and then Marshall appears at #38.   Unlikely, IMO.  But there was probably more value they could have had waiting on WR IF that happens.

    Yes to #1 big time.

unless they plan to play Spain out of position again - his experience prior to coming to the Bengals was as an OLG - we will be starting a rookie at ORG

I suspect Micheal Jordan will be released before the season starts

Yea seems like a Spain/XSF deal. Jordan does not offer much position flexibility so that hurts a backup. From his past it seems Spain should be the clear starter.

Joe Burrow's 2019 TE is now available as a free agent

I would say he's worth a plane ticket and a few meals for a looksee, myself

Hmmm, who could give them the ultimate intel on Thaddeus? Ha

Seems like he wanted to be here last year but there was a timing issue or something?

Josh Dubow on Twitter just noted that Gio leaving completes the Palmer trade.  We got 8 years out of Gio and 8 years out of Kirkpatrick.  Really strong move by Mike Brown there.  Took a player who wasn’t going to play for us anyway, and instead of cutting him, he really made an amazing move.  I bash Mike but have to give him credit on this one.

Good point. I’d say that’s pretty good return. We lose a C-patch on the jersey but seems like solid captain replacements are ready to go. One thing, ZT and Co seem to be using college/pro captain status as a criterion for draft and free agency.

Williams - now a vet and came into league w/ rep as an obsessive technician

    XSF/Spain --- vets

    Hopkins/Price --- vets

    Reiff --- vet

Would guess just with that crew Pollack can do work even before a rookie is added. That's a coachable bunch.

A coachable bunch that will be professional in how they except great coaching. This is a solid vet group that can have a rookie be very successful in.
