Broken Jaw just reported by C. Trent on 1530. Likely done for the season, but I like the hit on Troy that Benson delivered today. I like Benson and with a good oline that guy could be dangerous.

That's f**king great. I was thinking earlier in the season that we at least had one solid draft pick, and he looked like he'd stay healthy. Incredible.

Unbelievable...freakin dirty hit, but legal! I don't blame that race mut, b/c he is a dirty player and they are a dirty team...I blame us for being little girls and lettin them do that to us every year, that is why a change needs to be made! If I was the coach or player and someone did that to one of my players or teammates, you can count on the fact I lookin to cheap shot you later! He should sit the year out if his jaw is really broken but I would love to see him come back next year and f**k him up! The only Bengals I respect today are...believe it or not, Cedric Benson for trucking Troy "I talk like Michael Jackson" Polamalu, and Chad Johnson for showin fire and self respect to stand up to these Shizburgh Queerers!

Got proper f**ked then. At least he'll be spared the last ten beatings of the season. Rest up and look forward to your second season as a Bengal Keith.

For real, it was a big hit but having all of your fillings checked and braking your jaw. Woah! talk about having a glass jaw. Keith should really get his head on a swivil or he is not going to last long in the NFL.

That wasn't a dirty hit. It was a good clean block...the kind that we'd all love to see Ocho Fredo lay on a defender just once.

Rather sparing him 10 more loss's I'd rather see him getting experience and staying in football shape <which I doubt he'll pull odell cause dude just is ripped vs odell who always looked out of shape.

I didn't think it was a dirty hit either but it was a GOOD one...I really thought that someone would try to lay the wood and get some payback, like in baseball, but we are soft as Carvel's vanilla ice cream...CBenson I loved the downhill running he brings good truck on TPolumalu...

Yeah...how often we gonna play the 'dirty hit' card when the Steelers bend us over and make us grab our ankles? Rivers got schooled, no biggie. Happens every Sunday in the NFL. I'm not going to be one of those whiny fans. Especially when we are putting the worst Bengals team on the field possibly in the history of the franchise.

I just went back and looked at it, and it was as described above. I won't be surprised if the league fines Ward.

And it may have been that way, but in the heat of the play, Ward didn't 'take a cheap shot'. He was throwing his body at the defender and the helmet happened to pop him in the chin. He's not going to get fined.

Rivers was the Bengals' second-leading tackler for the season, starting every game. Linebacker Brandon Johnson will get more playing time with Rivers out. Johnson finished tied for the team lead with seven tackles on Sunday.
Johnson saw a double standard at work.

"No flag came out because it wasn't a quarterback," Johnson said. "If he was a quarterback, then they definitely would have thrown the flag. If it was a receiver, they definitely would have thrown the flag. It's just something that comes with playing defense. If you play defense, then you're pretty much expendable, I guess.

"It's part of the game. It was a good block. If I was in Hines Ward's shoes, I probably would have taken the same shot. You can't really blame him."

The play was ruled a clean hit as no flags were thrown. But Ward's hit did upset some of Rivers' teammates after the game.
"That's what he's known for," Bengals safety Chinedum Ndukwe said. "You expect that coming in. People are going to take their shots when they can. Too bad he can't hit someone face up. It's too bad he has to wait until he's not looking to get him. It's unfortunate. It's the type of guy he is. That's all right. We play them again. He's a blind-side guy."

Duke Nukem said it best that he's that kind of cowardly player! He is a piece of s**t that is going to get what's coming to him and I hope that Duke does it but I know that the Ravens have a bounty out for him, and I hope he gets his career ended! I hate that smiling mut, the league would be a better place without pieces of s**t like him! He ends Keith Rivers rookie year and he brags and celebrates, he is a dirty piece of trash and God-ell should do something because he shows no remorse!
